ഒരു ലിഫ്റ്റ് അനുഭവം കോട്ടക്കൽ ആര്യവൈദ്യശാലയിൽ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ഒരു ദിവസം രാവിലെ പ്രാതൽ കഴിച്ച് റൂമിലേക്ക് പോകാൻ ലിഫ്റ്റിൽ കയറി. ഓപ്പറേറ്റർ ഉണ്ട്. എന്നോട് കയറിക്കൊള്ളാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. നിമിഷങ്ങൾക്കകം ഉടമ ഡോ പി കെ വാരിയർ വന്നു. എന്നോട് ചോദിച്ചു. "ഏത് നില"? "അഞ്ച്," ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. "അഞ്ചാം നിലക്ക് പോകാം", ഓപ്പറേറ്റർ അഞ്ചാം നിലയിൽ എന്നെ എത്തിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് രണ്ടാം നിലയിലേക്ക് ആ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റി എട്ടു വയസ്സുകാരൻ പോയി. സംസ്കാരം മുസ്സൂറിയിൽ വാങ്ങാൻ കിട്ടില്ല.
