Oh I thought something like this would be a dream, I'd say actually it's a very good product "idea" but Feiyu's implementation isn't good enough. but that's a start! and not a bad one BTW, maybe I didn't reply lately on your videos that much, but I actually do watch most of them 🙂

That was a informative video thank you :) . I also asked few queries about the product to feiyu support team like how about the firmware upgrade and other things like low light performance, so they replied me stating that product pocket 3 will be available next month and the spec will be updated together ,not much sure what are they going to do … they may change the hardware spec or they may give some firm updates…

Oh, this is interesting. I doubt they will change the hardware, but... Let's wait and see.

Interesting design. Curious what future firmware updates offer for improvements. I kind of prefer the auto focus on the DJI Pocket 1 but can see where some might like everything always in focus. Great review as always

If we count the last two devices - likely there won't be many firmware enhancements with this one 😔. Hopefully I am wrong

Really loving this camera, but the firmware needs some updates, but I'm hopeful that this will succeed especially since FeiyuTech has been around for a while so they should be able to make it happen

Thanks for this review. I would like to understand a couple of things, what distance is possible between the gimbal camera & the remote? Also, can the gimbal camera be powered by a power bank when detached from the remote handle, therefore extending its running time for long duration Timelapse? Thanks Mike

The distance can be up to 15 meters without obstacles. And sure - you can charge with a power bank

Important for me would be nighttime performance compared to EIS action cameras which have light shimmering and flickering.

Yeah, good point. But as you can see from the side by side footage with Osmo Action - it is not that good...

I have DJI Pocket 2. How do you think this compares to that?

I prefer the Pocket 2. It is the superior device in my opinion

SO 1080P OR 4K30 when i make a video to youtube it's not clear all the time? i'm on a bike it's an action camera right? but when just walking around works fine. it seems that the color can't catch up with the color change when riding a bike.

If you talk about riding in the forest - colors are usually a mess with small cameras. 4K30 should be good

Can the camera be fixed, not moving? I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t find anything. I tried to stop the camera head movement on the remote and app too. I just want to film with no head movement

I just got this on amazon handle and camera for 279.. I was going to get a dji but i figured this is strictly for family videos so its fine for that.

I am struggling to see what spot in the markets these cameras are filling now. Several years ago, with the Osmo Pocket 1, maybe phones weren't as good, but now, if you have a good smartphone, you'll get just as good footage from that, paired with a $70 gimbal.

I think most people don't conceive the idea to get a 2nd phone and use it sim-free as a camera, which is a pity because they are great value :D

That's a great idea. On the other hand - as someone who records video all the time, the closest I've found to a good camera are Sony ZV1 or Pocket 1/2, because of the constant fps. With phones it is never 29.97 or 23.976... it varies - 30.02, or 29.95, etc. Color science is also too contrasty.

@@TechMishka Yes, an Osmo Pocket 1, with the wider FOV, is a good used buy. Buy the cam is worse than a smartphone!

Thanks for the review. I want less features and simply better IQ. We need at least 1" sensors with much better DR and low light performance. In the end, as it stands now, realistically all of these cameras are basically all the same. Add to the mix that this is ridiculously expensive.. absurd and DOA.

Yeah, 1-inch sensor would be awesome. Put the Sony ZV1 on a small gimbal and I'd love it

Thank you for the video & review! Bad image quality for the price, bad gimbal action (glitchy mini shifts). Questionable reliability. Not recommended. Get a 2nd hand pocket 2 or even pocket 1.

It is 4K but if light is poor... then quality suffers

Disappointing. The DJI Pocket 2 image quality is still far superior.
