Just discovered Locomotive by Brian Floca. My son is obsessed. A new Favorite for us. Blueberries for Sal and Make Way for Ducklings are my old school favorites.

Such a cute book!!
Thank you for these book suggestions! My absolute favorite book that I read at least every Christmas and Easter is “The Legend of the Three Trees” adapted by Catherine McCafferty. I think everyone should have this amazing book in their collection. Other books we love: “The Lion and the Bird” by Marianne Dubuc, “The Graden, The Curtain and the Cross” by Carl Laferton and a hilarious favorite is “The Day the Crayons Quit” by Drew Daywalt.

we absolutely love Miss Suzy and all of the Elephant and Piggy Books - We are in a Book was our first one! I'm off to thrift books for a few more of these that I haven't seen before

That’s so funny that “We Are in a Book” was your first too!!
If you like old books you will love The Bee Man of Orn by Frank Stockton. That and You are Special (which you mentioned) are my favorite picture books of all time.

My favourite picture book is joey. I loved it as a kid and now all of my kids have had it read to them. It’s about a young roo and a kid!!! My parents kept my books for my kids. Me parents did the same thing. My grandparents where in a cassette books club but they where in it too long as I had to listen to them till about 10 and they then became too young for me and I can’t use them as cassettes are outdated. The engineer book looks awesome, I think my youngest kid would love it. I’m going to look into it for her. We love the max luccudo kids books!!! I know my twins and youngest daughter has had them read to them and my twins have read them themselves!!! We love Hedi in German, we speak German. 1 day I caught my twin daughter at 4 listening to it in English on KZread and she knew it was the same story. She’s now 11!!! My twins think the other twin is the most loved. Yet my oldest son is older.

We also love "Harry the Dirty Dog" books!
