I cut these tires all the time at work and it's way easier if u tilt the saw at a 45 degree angle. Best saw blades we found are wrecker blades. One sharpened like a knife will get you no where. Be warned if I've never cut one of these tires be ready for your arms and hands to vibrate the rest of the day lmao

use a pump spray from the lawn and garden section. fill with water and Dawn dish soap for the lube.

after you got a slot started I would take a piece of truck leaf spring drive it down that crack and turn it sideways with a pipe wrench.

Please reconsider using this due to the possibility of chemicals from the tire leaching into the water, especially when exposed to sunlight.

If the algae starts being a problem, bare copper wire will control it.

I have questions. All relate to each other: How do you purge water? How do you clean it? What do you use to prevent wildlife from drowning in it?

You can also put cinder blocks in it to give them "stairs" to get out. People do that when they use them for goats and sheep. You have to sink them a little deeper for sheep, goats and pigs too. you can also pour more concrete in the bottom to make it flat bottom to help the cinder blocks set right. If you are using for rotational grazing you don't have to keep it full all the time. Drain it after they leave and fill it when they return. You put a valve upstream to control the flow. Greg Judy has some pretty good instructions on his youtube page too.
