Several incorrect steps here: A torque wrench is not intended to be used as a breaker bar to loosen wheel nuts. A jack stand should always be used as a fail safe should the jack slip or collapse. The wheel mounting surface of the hub and the back side of the rim should always be cleaned off with a wire brush/wheel to ensure there is no loose rust or debris which could cause the wheel to come loose.(Yes I see in your case that your winters appear brand new so likely no rust on the wheels, but those hubs did not look great.) Once the wheel nuts are snug, you should lower the vehicle to the point where the tire lightly makes contact with the ground before final torquing the wheel nuts. Prime example of how not everything you see on the interweb is always accurate, sometimes there's just enough wrong or miss info to help someone bugger something up.

Steve, I appreciate your input. If you have follow my channel at all you will see that it is intended to help folks who are on a budget accomplish simple tasks. While jack stands are not expensive, it may be cost prohibitive to some people. I would never suggest anyone work under their car supported by only a jack, but the jack alone is sufficient to remove a tire. Second, the torque wrench is rated to 120ft/lbs and is only pulling off bolts at 93ft/lbs and it’s handy to only have one wrench. Finally I don’t know how you saw the hubs? Never showed this in the video, best you could see was the break disk. I don’t live in the “rust-belt” so I have never had to remove debris from my wheels/rotors.

@MrDIYUSA I understand you're trying to be quick and cheap but I lost a very good friend to lifting his car without any secondary stands. The car fell on him and he is dead. YOU SHOULD NEVER LIFT A CAR WITHOUT SECONDARY SUPPORTS!!! Hell if you dont have jack stands you could slide one of the old tires under the car to catch it if the jack sags or collapses. If you think that doesnt happen just wait lol. If you want to do this at home on your car and take the risk, fine. You should absolutely not be telling people its ok or safe to do this because its not. Someone without your level of knowledge is definitely going to watch this and think oh it's ok I dont really need them if I put my lift in the right place, and someone is going to get hurt. Wont be on your conscience though right lol MRDIY? lol more like Mr doesn't know any better and shouldn't be talking like he does. 👍 also, it doesn't matter how tight the lug nuts are you should not break them loose with a torque wrench, it's bad for them and will make them inaccurate. Look it up dude.

The disappointing part is that Ford Fusion isn't powered by fusion, nor is there any titanium in the titanium upgrade.

Brian, my condolences as to the loss of your friend. How do you suppose someone changes their tire on the side of the road? On this channel I aim to help people complete DIY tasks that help them save money. Not everyone has jack stands or a lift. I will take your feedback and incorporate better explications in your he beginning of my future videos as to reduce any confusion. Thanks.

@@MrDIYUSA honestly, when I take my snow tires on or off, I keep one wheel under the frame at all times. I know not everyone has a lift or stands, but something should go under the car, a block of wood, a brick, get creative with it. Even if it only stops the car from going all the way to the ground after it falls a few inches. The car landing on a wheel is much better than a body part 👌 Telling people they don't need anything but a hydraulic floor jack that is able to move while under the car is dangerous and irresponsible. Honestly, think about this, please. You clearly didn't read my initial comment thoroughly as I stated you could use a tire and wheel in a pinch, that'll work on the side of the road too 😉
