I asked ziggylatta about kicks and he just said and I quote “good players, such as me: arguably the best player in chiv ,never falls for kicks, don’t use them” then proceeded to tell everyone how garbage the game was. So I def like watching you more because not only are you good but you arnt constantly whining about the game

Ive been really liking these how to's, some of the other vids ive come across dont go so in depth with how to incorporate it with combos 😊

I also like to kick when the overconfident enemy pro is 1vX'ing my team; they usually turtle and wait for a simple minded teammate to swing so he can counter everyone at once, so one kick should open him up to multiple swings at once from your teammates who usually mindlessly swing at him regardless. Jabs should also work but less reliable because there are so many bodies crammed around the 1vX that your shorter range jab usually won't reach him And also repeatedly kicking that guy who killed you 5 times in a row after you down him once

That's what I've started doing, looking for turtles 1vX rush in and kick them

Kicks shouldn't be relied on too much since it's easy to be punished against a good player. But if used sparingly, it can catch even good players off guard. It's a bit obvious but kicks shouldn't be used in 1 vs X situations either.

You forgot the most crucial aspect of kicks man!!! Repeatedly kicking people around that you don’t like after you down them. 😄

How do you make the feint input and the block input both on the right click?

Does active parry affect kicking in any way? Maybe it is a bug, but I sometimes see people swinging after counter/ripost and not taking 5 kick damage

I think you could have mentioned the the best situation ever to use kicks: after the very initial contact. When you just saw an enemy and he is crazily running + swinging trying to get the first hit but you end up hitting him instead, he will hold block with 99% certainty Other than that, like the others mentioned in comments, kicks have such a LONG windup animation, which makes it very predictable and easy to punish. I wish they were more in line with jabs but unfortunately thats what torn banner wanted for their game

Kick enemies that you’ve knocked down for the troll

I find myself instinctively trying to block the kick for some reason. It’s like my brain registers the incoming kicks as an attack and I keep falling for it💀 Any tips to shake the habit?

People who try and kick generally step toward you before they use kick. It is most commonly seen after they block your swing. Watch for that small step forward and try to swing instead. Additionally, if you're holding block and see the kick coming, you can input an attack in order to counter. The counter attempt will force you to swing and their kick to not break your guard.

If I could use M&K on xbox id be top of every leader board its so much easier to aim overheads and stabs

In the first game a kick would interrupt a persons wind up and I miss that. I still catch myself trying to kick someone while they start their attack just to remember that it doesn't flinch them anymore.

Can you chain all attacks (except specials I imagine) after a successful kick regardless of how slow your weapon is? Similarly, if your opponent misses a kick, is the duration of his locked phrase long enough for all attacks even from the slowest one? How about specials on this one.

The vast majority of weapons LIGHT attacks will hit guaranteed so long as you immediately combo the kick into one of your 3 swings. Specials are not a true combo and neither are a good amount of heavy attacks. Slow weapons such as the Maul and Highland sword would give the most trouble and may require acceling by leaning into the swing. Hope this helps clarify!

It seems like kicking is different between PC and console cause for me whenever I'm doing an attack I can't just stop that attack for an attack I have to follow through with my attack before I can even think about kicking
