Thank you very easy to follow. I have done all these tips and I have turned off Gps and Bluetooth ,I also reset it back to factory setting as well . I'm still only getting 2 days out of battery life.

You'll see the face even during the brightest time of the day because the backlight has nothing to do with it. It's a transflective display, so it relies on ambient light in the daytime to be seen. The brighter the sunlight, the higher the contrast. It's only when it's dark that the backlight becomes useful.

I have mi backlight gesture set up in always on, but it only work while during activity. Do you know how could i fix this?

You're welcome! What kind of find do you have? I would try restarting your phone and watch then seeing it if works. You must have the music playing first on your phone before the watch can control it.

These are all great suggestions but they don't address the battery drain that seems to have come with the latest update in February 2022.

I have vivoactive3 but bluetooth is not active, so i can't connect to garmin connect (phone)

I jumped from the vivoactive to vivoactive 3. The V3 battery life is very low. Big difference on battery life. I had most of the battery saving tips for the V3 except brightness and vibration. Also turned off my continuous HRM until I used it in a work out. Humm I wonder if I do a activity workout does it automatically comes on and turn off when the workout is complete?

It doesn't currently seem possible to configure the HR monitor to only turn on while in an activity. This is an awesome idea though. I have submitted it to Garmin so hopefully they include it in a future release. I changed the backlight setting to 20% and got a pop up screen the said "this setting will reduce your battery life"!!

What if you were to use it as a watch only? No heart rate tracking. Looking to use it in GPS mode while golfing, apart from that use it as a regular watch.

You're obviously not too smart then.... that's like buying an 18 wheeler to drop the kids to school,grocery shopping etc.

I liked the watch face. what´s its name? :-)

Do you recommend charging the Vivoactive 3 only when its battery is low or whenever possible?

indeed Ben, General rules for all lithium batteries: 1) avoid heat or extreme cold 2) avoid deep discharges (below 20%) 3) avoid fast charging 4) long term storage at 50%

My vivoactive 3 battery dies even when its turned off. Wth?!?!?
