PS-- Philippa Gregory is one of my favorite authors and she's the one person who's made me want to start writing in the first place.

She made me want to write too. I had enjoyed writing creatively as a child, but never thought I could be good at it. And haven't even attempted until the other night, when I sat down and hashed out a few pages about a true figure from history, but a bit fiction, since a lot isn't known.... I owe it to reading her historical fiction novels, I feel so inspired. I don't know what it is exactly about her writing (for it would be too many things to recount) but whatever those infinite elements are in her writing that inspires me I am just so very thankful that she put it out there in the universe to share with anyone that is interested to read her words.

Your Widacre trilogy was the best series of books I've read in a long time! Great job!

Thanks Phillipa..liked your suggestion about the writers block an dhow long to write a novel. I have to say that writing my first historical novel, When Angels Fall set in Renaisance Florence, I never had any block. I sat down and wrote and it just poured out and I never got stuck. Let's see if I am so lucky with the next one! Thanks again. NIce to put a real person to the books. Saluti from Italy!

I really like her books. On my channel I do book reviews. I've done two of her books so far and I've also reviewed other historical fiction novels.

Ugh. Gregory's works are so historically inaccurate, and yet she has the audacity to say she did extensive research on her subjects.

LOL-walking for 3 Days and nights with sandwiches- to get an answer --hmmmmm. not so sure about that. you need to sleep, eat, other things, go to washroom, bath, brush teeth., etc etc, 3 days (day or night) not tooooo sure about that.

They really aren't though... They maybe controversial like believing Anne Boleyn was guilty of half the charges against her but when it comes down to it or who is to say she is right and others are wrong? There is reason to believe that she could have been unfaithful to the King, primarily through desperation to get a son

@@edwardjames2658 that's a strong motive for adultery, but she was accused of doing so with certain men at certain times in certain palaces... none of which were corroborated. Also, her life as Queen was much more guarded than her life as a gentlewoman/Court lady.

@@christopherbrown2706 I am not saying that she did and if she did if would have been through pure desperation but honestly despite the guards and ladies in waiting etc where there's a will there's a way

@@edwardjames2658 "where there is a way there is an answer"? You're also ignoring how devout Anne Boleyn really was. Sadly, everyone does.
