Tips I wish I knew before starting in acute care ☺️ | Occupational therapy student fieldwork 2 🏨

It’s hard when you are first starting out in acute care and there is the overwhelming overload of learning and information. Here are external aids I made for myself that helped me significantly!
Per request, I thought it'd be helpful to make these templates I made accessible to EVERYONE who wants them. Please see the link below to access all three documents. They are labeled by their level of comprehensiveness/simplicity. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE: I would suggest starting with the comprehensive one and adapt it as needed to your facility's way of doing things. Then gradually simplify your list as the information becomes part of your motor memory/habit to gather. Then eventually you can grade yourself up to the most simplified version and have several patients' info on one sheet of paper.

Please SHARE this video with your other OT cohort members, colleagues, and friends. Because I hope this helps as many people as possible. It sure helped me! Remember the key is to adapt the templates if needed or as needed to what works for you...that makes it more "natural" and "organized" for you.
Wishing you all of the best and leave any questions you have in the comments below! I am here to help :)!
