Pickup and drop services are very easy. Just show your DL and booking confirmation at the counter and they’ll give you the car. For drop they will tell you where to park and also where is the Dropbox for the key.

Regarding highway driving: you are always supposed to drive on the right lane unless you are overtaking. Driving in the middle lane (lane hogging) is frowned upon. Just something to remember for your next trip to Europe :)

Thank you so much 😀 The border fees that we had to pay was I think 50 Euros (this fees cover all the border that we crossed - Montenegro & Bosnia). But they keep changing the fees. & the structure was different for every company! Please check your rental car terms before booking . It will be mentioned under the ‘Extra Services (Payable at Counter)’ tab.

We have always used rentalcars.com for renting car in any country! They have cars from all good companies like Enterprise, Budget etc

Thanks for these informative videos. It really helps for planning our Europe Trip in July this year. We are planning to visit Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vienna in Austria. Do you recommend taking rental car to explore the cities or will the public transportation will be efficient?

Hey there Thanks for the tips! We are travelling to Munich this September and plan to rent a car and drive to Swiss, Italy, Austria and Czech before returning the car at Munich after 16 days. Are there any additional border crossings permits that we need to buy do you know…? Or is it not feasible way of road trip..? Thanks in advance!

Sounds awesome! You just have to inform them when picking up the car that you’ll be crossing borders and accordingly they’ll charge you. European roads ofcourse are amazing and you can easily cover large distances in very short time. Have fun 😁

Hello, Thanks for the infos. Any valuable information about child car seats . Is it mandatory to use car child seats for kids below 12 years?

Hey! As far as I am aware using child seats are mandatory. You can easily get it from your rental car company while picking up the car!

Can we get the IDL from ITCA or IDA ie websites avlb on the web or from automobile association of India ....will it be legit ? As getting same from rto is not materializing

I am not sure how legit these documents will be. You can always go through an agent.. there are many located outside any RTO and will help you get the IDP within a week or less than that

I plan to rental car for road trip in Europe, is rental car have blue disk parking and Vignette for (Swiss and Austria) or we need to buy?

It will have the vignette for the country you pick up the car in.. for other countries you might have to purchase after crossing borders. Please inform at the pickup place about the countries you plan to visit and they will inform you accordingly.

What is the total duration days of your car rental. And how many total days you spend in europe with and without car.

Around 9 days I think with car and 3-4 days without car

Sure! We always use rentalcars.com and from there you can pick car companies like Europacar, Avis, Enterprise. They are all very reliable!

Great information..Is normal indian DL is eligible for driving in Europe or we need to have international DL ?

Thank you!😊 Normal Indian DL (in English) works fine but it’s highly advisable to carry an International Driving Permit (IDP) as well. You can easily get it from your nearest RTO .

The necessary charges will be deducted from your deposit amount that the car rental company has blocked on your card.

Hey I haven’t seen Tata cars in the countries we visited and can’t see them in rentalcars website as well . You do get Hyundai, Kia , Volkswagen

In Austria it was SUV from Budget company and in Croatia it was Opel corsa from Enterprise. Both booked through rentalcars.com

It’s a good to have document and you should carry as you might be asked to show it. We had the IDP but didn’t have to show it anywhere.. they just asked for our DL
