Very good! Been pushing snow since 1976 and agree on the rear blade. Used front loaders and snow plows and bobcats, but never found anything better for driveways than a cheap ole rear blade! You obviously know how to use one and that is key. Thanks,Tom

Your video was spot on, you made it look so simple by not plowing the same area 3 or 4 times. Found a 3pt 5' Meteor snowblower here in NJ for $200, used it one time. If you don't have a cab, forget about it, (never been so cold when that fine snow hits you or clogging up the chute with wet snow) mounted mine on a JD F935 using it as a 5' snow pusher for finishing up. People need to plan ahead, l even park all my vehicles side by side in front of my garage leaving one door for my tractor to come out plowing

When I got my bx23s, my dealer told me to run it wide open. I don't think I ever have, but I usually keep it a little higher when running the BH because you don't get the multi functional movements if you run it too low. Usually 2500 when doing loader work or using the blade to clear snow.

Nice video. I noticed you use just turf tires. I live in Nova Scotia and most winters with 6 -8 feet of snow they works fine for me roo. I have a front blower and rear back blade on a bx25. Gets the jobs done. As I live on an unpaved road I push the snow at the start of my driveway that the road plow leaves, (it is usually full of rocks) with the back blade turned around. When we a have just 2-3 inches of wet slushier snow that the blower don;'t like, I use the back blade angled in the proper position to clean the driveway.

I was moving snow yesterday with my rear blade. We had about 10 inch of snow and usually I use the blower but the blade was mounted and I went with it. I use Pats Quick hitch and found a weakness with them while backing into the snow banks to push them back . I think the weight and force of pushing heavy snow released the latch forced it open. Lucky I was looking back and saw the blade fold under and stopped the tractor......a few more inch's and and it would have been real ugly. So if anyone out there use's the Pats make sure you modify the latch so they will not open .

Get a three inch PVC pipe, rip a cut down one side with a circular saw and slide it over the cutting edge of your blade, I have a video on my channel showing how well it works and I have a gravel driveway. Its in the tractor stuff playlist, I will be making a better video this coming winter and I did the same thing with my ATV plow yesterday so I can't wait to give that a try.

@@timberray9572 kzread.info/dash/bejne/d6NssJWPgafUlKQ.html I did what you described - works well. I try to grade the gravel nice and smooth before it freezes so it isn't so hard on the PVC. Might try a steel tube if it doesn't hold up well and if I can find one cheap enough.
