Proper water temperature, proper impression manipulation, proper tray position. Will try to cover this in Complete denture topics.

For advanced Gingivitis can we use nitroimidazole group of antibiotics alone or supplement with beta lactam antibiotics.please reply.

I think you should first try to resolve the gingivitis with scaling and root planing. Systemic antibiotic therapy, in my opinion, should be given only in advanced periodontitis where even after proper oral hygiene, mechanical (scaling and curettage) and surgical intervention, patient's periodontal condition has not improved considerably. Metronidazole along with b lactam antibiotics does give good results...but I would suggest you to refer the case to a periodontist for better results.

@@Dentrickstry Thank you so much. Actually i saw many dental practitioners unnecessarily using antibiotics alongwith scaling,root planing.Hope this reply will be an eye opener for them.Chlorhexidine mouth rinse is enough with scaling, root planing.Thanks again.
