Advice ko, mag practice na kayo ng C++ at java, since may mga certification exams na gagawin sa college. Wag puro math, dapat programming dinm isa sa pinagsisisihan ko nung shs ako nagpractice ako ng todo sa math, tapos nung college nahirapan ako ng sobra sa programming. Sana i balance niyo yung programming at math.

@@KanameAkiyama yes i really suggest na matuto ka ng mga surface knowledge lng on both mathematics at programming. Nung pinasukan ko to meron na ako background sa math pero sa programming hindi ko binigay pansin nung una kasi akala ko ganun-ganun lng sya. Yun pla ako yung ginanun HAHAHAHA. Kaya magstudy kana kahit ahead kahit one month lng, yun yung niregret na sana nagstudy ako ng konti before college. Sa programming i really recommend learning c++ as your first language kasi it helped me learn other programming concepts ng mas mabilis. Mahirap na mahirap talaga sya sa una kaya give yourself a headstart kung wla pa nagsisimula ang klase.

Glad to found this channel of yours Tech Thoughts. I subscribed after watching this video because as the way you state that plenty of suggestions it is simple, clear, and straightforward. I don't have any background knowledge of programming during my highschool days it's because we don't have an IT strand here. I graduated in Humanities and Social Sciences but somehow as of now, I delving into more programming lessons coming from IT professionals and got the knowledge and skills by doing self-study. Though struggling and getting extreme difficulty which is also being experienced by anyone in this field, I managed to understand little by little and a faster at this moment. The programming skill wasn't that a very big deal to me as I practiced myself with interests, however, the real problem in here is my forgetfulness when it comes to Math. Doing every practical enhancement I have seen across the Internet doesn't result an understanding in my own. It's seems like I'm having a dyscalculia learning disorder and I'm struggling at basic arithmetic sequences and geometry. I will be taking this course (computer science) next year to challenge my math skills but I'm afraid it will going to be a severe catastrophe mark on my grades and can not make it to excel in this field. Can you suggest any po with regards to this. Thanks in advance🙂.

Hi lods I am a stem student last senior high at masasabi ko na ung major subjects namin nung stem pa ako ay sobrang gamit na gamit sa comsci, since comsci is more on logic and math na gagamitin pag nagpoprogram. Hinding hindi ka magsisisi if stem kukunin mo since advance sa math, may pre cal sa first sem tas second sem basic cal. Meron din physics which is gamit na gamit rin pag nagcocomsci ka. Sa first sem ko this August may subject kaming basic calculus which is na take ko na nung nag stem ako. Pero nakadepende na po yan sayo lods

Another tip din pero for graduating ito. But it can apply din for lower years. Always be updated sa mga programming language since eveythig is constant kailangan talaga may advanced practice when it comes to the programming languages. 😄 And always practice, kasi hindi lahat perpekto sa pagpprogram. :3 everyone starts from somewhere 🥰 madami naman sa google and youtube mga videos, even webinars to help u out.

Medyo may natutunan na ako kompara noon na walang alam talaga... napaisip tuloy ako tungkol sa gaano ko hindi naintindihan yung programming language tapos kompara ngayon na medyo alam ko na 😂, 1st sem ay C++ kami, 2nd sem ay Java... pero ang first language na natry ko ay C#, nag praktis kasi ako a month bago mag balik-eskwela 😪 grabe ang ganda lang basahin tong post ko kasi 1 year ago na pala to noh grabe! parang narerealize mo sa sarili yung before and after 😶🤠

@@lance-zx3ig haha interesting yang tanong mo kasi natanong ko din yan noon eh nag worry talaga ako baka mahirap sa una... pero ang sagot ko ay hindi naman... sa tingin ko since 1st year pa kayo, baguhan pa, tinitreat din nila kayo as baguhan so ibig sabihin ang mga subjects ay relax lang din eh syempre... so ayon, so kung sa programming na subject syempre basics lang din ang tinuturo! 😀 So ayon! ... May alam ka na ba sa programming? Anong language ang nili-learn mo? Yung akin kasi ay C Sharp, yan yung main language ko... familiar na ako sa programming basics at C# basics... sa tingin ko ang need ko ngayon ay mag learn in practical way na, so gagawa ako ng very small software para ma-iapply ko ang natutunan ko. Pero di ko pa nagawa yan ngayon. Data structures "medyo" familiar ako pero di ko pa na try talaga, sa theory lang, kung paano mag work ganon.

Hi hello po, sana may video po kayo ng lesson from 1st year till last ng bawat lessons every unit.. guide lang po para sa katulad ko gusto magaral ng comsci na wala naman alam about sa computer.. sana mapansin nyo po

bukas na start ng class namin, ngayon ko lang naisipan manood ng ganito ToT

pag new po sa programming or inshort kaka start palang. Ano po yung mga courses, lessons, etc ang dapat unahin? yung step by step po sana, yung hndi sana nag jujump agad sa advance? Thankyou ho sir. Yes can start using Python. You start doing the basic programming structure from data types, conditional structure, looping statements, etc. With these basic foundations in programming, you can migrate from one programming language to another. 🙂

You are on the right track. Base sa sinabi mo na meron ka na foundation sa HTML/CSS at competitive ka naman sa mga Math subjects mo, advantage mo na itong mga ito para magpatuloy sa pag take ng BS Computer Science dahil maeencounter mo din ang web development at mga Math subjects sa course na ito. :-)

Need na ma assess ng school na papasukan mo ung strand na natake mo para ma align sa college course na itatake mo since. Possible na mag undergo ka ng bridging program. Pero need mo muna mag consult sa department ng course na papasukan mo para maevaluate ka nila. 🙂

Yes, pareho lang sya. Meron kasi mga schools and unversity na nagooffer ng specilization tracks na pede pagpiliin ng mga students but the curriculum is same and based on the CHED guidelines. :-)

Malawak at may certain purpose ang mga Computer Science graduates sa Industry pag sila ay nakatapos ng course na ito. Masmalawak pa sa typing skills ang matutunan ng isang BSCS graduates at opportunity sa industry pag nakatapos ka ng successful sa course na ito. 🙂

Good evening sir, pwedi po ba STEM ang strand sa shs at kukuha ng com sci na course? Wala po akong background about computer in school kaya di ako sigurado kung papasa ba ako kung mayroong entrance exam at wala akong basic knowledge.

Uy lods, I am also a graduatestem student at may teacher ako nung hs pa na comsci graduate, sabi niya it's better na stem kukunin kesa ict pag gusto mo maging comsci since more on math and logic ang comsci na gagamitin sa programming. Major natin na basic cal, physics, pre cal at iba pa nung stem pa ay sobrang magagamit sa pagcocomsci.

@@RJ-gh3lg ahh ganun pala, parang kailangan ko na mag build up ng math skills ko di kasi masyado magaling. Ok narin na walang face to face dahil mas maraming free time, kahit tamad mukhang kakailangin ko talaga,madami rin pala math sa CS. CS po ba kinuha mo?

@@francismarkbaguion2979 bsit ako ngayon lods kaka enroll lang pero magshishift into cs kasi un talaga ang gusto ko. Mag fifirst year palang ako this august. advice ko sayo sobrang daming resources online na free. May mga courses o subjects rin ng comsci from different schools like harvard na pwede ma access for free, you can advance study it lods. Tsaka ang programming matutunan mo din yan, daming tutorials sa yt at palagi ka mag self study dyan. Learn/understand data structures and algorithms thoroughly and have a solid foundation on logic and discrete math, you'll be strong as acid

@@RJ-gh3lg bago pa nga lang ako nag start, ngayon nag sisi na ako bat di ko agad napag isipan na mag self study last year hahaha. Python palang ngayon ang tinatry ko at nag eenjoy naman may tutorial na akong sinundan at may mga problem solving na basic coding. Ano po ba first language pinag aralan mo?

I'm an incoming freshman in bscs major in software engineering. Abm yung strand ko okay lang po ba yun? Late ko na realized na computer related yung gusto. I am qualified naman sa university na inapply ko. Nag self study naman ako ng mga programming language like java, python and some c++. Magaling naman po ako sa math na favorite subject ko.

Yes, you can take the course pero maaring bigyan k ng additional subjects na hindi mo nakuha sa SHS para maalign at mabigyan ka ng foundation knowledge sa course na kukunin mo.

May mairerecommend po ba kayo na good universities para sa comsci..

Walang BSIT course na malapit dito kaya Computer Science nalanh kinuha ko pero kinakabahan ako kasi marami po daw math huhu.

yes, maraming math ang curriculum ng computer science dahil you need to develop critical and logical thinking. yan kasi ang purpose ng mga computer scientist. you will develop algorithms and computer processess. I am also a graduate of computer science. Base sa experience ko, marami ako naging opportunities sa industry kaya wag ka madiscourage. kaya mo yan. magaral ka pang mabuti

Since ABM ka at you want computer-related course sa college, need mo mag undergo ng bridging program. Mabibigyan k ng mga additional subjects para magkaroon k ng foundation knowledge sa course na itatake mo sa college. Yung mga programminh skills ay matututunan mo nman habang nag aaral ka na sa college. Don’t worry! 🙂
