Our best advice: Travel how YOU want to, if you want to travel by staying in a resort, you do that, if you want to couch surf and live like a local, you do that. Don’t let anyone tell you how you can travel :)

Freedom Strider I booked Bali for June. First days in the rice fields of Ubud in an Airbnb bamboo hut. Next couple of days in Sekumpul in the Jungle with a very simple Homestay and surrounded by waterfalls. Last couple days will be staying in a resort in Uluwatu near beaches. Little mix of everything. Only „problem“ is i don’t have a driving license so will have to have expensive pick-ups everywhere. Excited!

Absolutely agree! There are so many different ways to travel... try them all and find out what YOU like!
I don't know why I'm watching this when I've already traveled quite a bit. HAHA I just have a feeling I'm doing it all wrong LOL!
i booked my flight to England at 3AM, here now and its pretty chill, don't overthink travel just be human and yourself. I saw a girl my age by herself crying at the immigration office in the airport asked her whats wrong and she said she was overwhelmed. Don't over think travel you'll be surrounded by humans and... your human. Best tip: Pretend like you know what your doing, within 2 hours of being in England i got asked about the underground system by someone from Manchester. ( Fake it, till you make it )

Best coment !! Im from nova scotia canada m traveling to Indonesia in a month any tips
My first solo trip was 31 days in Europe with Contiki, the best time ever!
This goes allong with #10: DO REASEARCH PLACES TO EAT BEFOREHAND. This has saved my trips so many times, I can't even begin to tell you! Use websites like tripadvisor or similar. This just frees up so much of that valuable time and money. You will not be cought in trourist-trap restaurants that are just the worst aand you will more likely taste some amazing foods. This doesn't mean that you can't ask the locals ones you get there, but just researching a few places beforhand is very helpful.
I have just recently turned 13 and i travel to London every summer from America to see my dad and I would love if you made a video to help out young travelers that travel alone

As a person already doing that, you are in the BEST position to share that information with other young people who might be nervous about their first international flight! Maybe you should make one, if you feel safe/your parents allow you to put your face on KZread:)
Thanks so much for all your videos!!! Have learnt heaps! Am heading to Europe in July. Can't wait!!

I'm planning on my first road-trip as soon as I'm allowed to quit school. You definitely gave us some great tips and advice!! I'm still planning on which vehicle I'll use, where to start, destination, pretty much everything... But I'm definitely super excited to start discovering earth and myself! I've always been photographing and filming things that impress me, so I'll be filming and photographing as much as I can, put it all together in a video and then share it on KZread. Because the world should see how much beauty there's still left :) These videos help me out a lot, thanks! :)
Thank you so much for your tips. I'm 19 and I'm going from the Czech Republic to Finland for the first time. It's actually my first trip without any like travel agency. So I guess those tips will help a lot.

I’ve travelled plenty of times when i was a kid. But this really helped me, since im going to travel on my own for the first time now! I’m 22, and planning to travel to France, then Italy in a few months with my best friends. Planning on it since highschool. Thanks for the guide!
I am planning for my first solo trip in 2 months! I know what and where I want to go (Spain!!) but the thought of travelling alone is pretty daunting. But whenever I watch your videos its as if I can do it too! thank you and I hope it will be a good experience! xx
Just did 2 months backpacking all throughout Europe. Followed a lot of tips from yourself along with vagabrothers, Lindsay Mc, and other travel vloggers. Time of my life. Can't wait to go on my next trip!
My fiance and I are going on a cruise for our first time abroad to Norwegian Fyords. I'm nervous, but I want to see the world!!!

I wish someone would make a video of how specifically to book your vacation online. Seems simple to do, but some of us have never done that before and I think a video explaining in detail how to do that would be very helpful. I have always used a travel agent, but would like to try to book everything on my own one day. Thanks.

First and best tip, look and book only in incognito mode, saves you money. Anyway, Booking online is like a second job lol. If you want the cheapest price, you're gonna have to stay up late and look look look and compare compare compare lol. If you're flexible, it makes it so much more easier. If you want cheap, you're basically gonna have to look at almost every single airline, (domestic & international airlines depending on where you're going), and every single flight search engine etc. Same with a place to stay. Dont forget to look up reviews! Just because something is cheap, doesnt mean its good. It sounds like a lot, its actually pretty easy, it just can be a bit time consuming.

I understand your questions. Unfortunatly every websites work different. So its not possible to make just video that works for all. All websites make you fill in all the fields you need. Before you book really most give you a chance to read all you wrote before you actually book.
I've traveled a fair amount. But I'm currently planning my first solo trip to Ireland!! So excited.
I love your videos Nadine!!!
I live in Denver and just emailed my wife about the show here in March. We are looking to possibly go to Alaska this summer, and this is a great idea for getting lots of travel info. Maybe we’ll see you there!
THANK YOU ❤️
My first time ever going to Europe is this month! Thank you for the many tips on all of your videos, and I'll be landing in London 😆

I live in the UK and I'm planning to go to Paris, this is my first time ever leaving the country, I'm just about to finish uni so it's a lil treat :)
I'm planning my first solo trip. I'm going to southeast asia, as most people do, and I'm starting off in Thailand and going to experience as much as I can!! I'm going for about a year or so, and this is actually the first time I'm gonna be away from home (longest I've gone is 3 weeks). Your videos have been so helpful in helping me plan and keeping my mind at ease of all the stressful and scary thoughts that come haha

Great tips!

Traveling to Germany July 11th. I’ll be staying with a friend in Düsseldorf for a couple days then going to France. It’ll be my first time out of the country and on an airplane. I’m super excited!
I went rather extreme with my first trip abroad and went to South Africa solo for nine weeks! People said I was crazy but it was probably the best decision of my life
i leave to the Dominican Republic tonight!! this video was perfectly timed. Thanks Nadine!!!
Thinking of going to Thailand and the uk next year.
My first solo trip was Cancun, Mexico. I chose this specifically just to test how I would do as a solo traveler. I’m planning to go to Thailand next on my solo travel journey. 😊
My first time solo travelling was to Austria and Croatia in 2014! since then I've done many countries solo. Flash forward to now and i'm currently on a working holiday in Cambodia and leaving today to have a weekend holiday in Laos.
I’m flying out to the US for 11 days in 3 weeks time! Nervous but equally excited as it’s my first trip there and I’m travelling alone!
It helps to ask a travel agent if you're a first time traveler. Their services are usually free, but they will also answer questions you may have whether you book through them or not. Instagram is full of them!
You should do a video about the your next dream destinations, where would you like to go next if money and planing wasn’t a problem ? ✈️🚞🚘🚌🗺🛣💸💰🗓📝
Going travelling for the first time in 73 days! Im going to Australia for 2 years! So excited! 🇦🇺☀️

Please do a video on safety!! What do you do with your passport in hostels and going on nights out??
This video is perfect! I'm planning to leave for a RTW trip in March and I've been panicking about what I could forget. I'm hoping to start in Thailand and decide where to go afterwards by how I'm feeling in the moment. When it come to electronics, I want to bring my DSLR around with me to take photos and videos but I keep getting anxious that I'll be targeted constantly. I was wondering, how have you or your friends handled carrying lots of gear in different countries? Do you guys run into trouble often? I'm so nervous about my gear but I don't want to miss the opportunity to document my trip either! Thanks so much for this video, Nadine!

I hope you enjoy it as did. The Maltese people are lovely. Although they have their own language, they all speak English because of their long association with Britain as a naval base. All the signs, restaurant menus, and everything else are in English. You can travel anywhere by bus and fares are really cheap. Valletta is amazing, with lots of good restaurants and bars, and daytime entertainment in the town square. Malta is a very safe place to travel. Recommended dish for omnivores, rabbit stew.

I'm going to Germany to visit a family member and travel for a month in September and this will be my first time traveling in an airplane and overseas. I have traveled to New Mexico with family a lot of times, but this one I'm going solo.

Nice video Nadine!! Your souvenirs in the background didnt go unnoticed!! More tips: carry hand sanitizer to be little guarded... Dont carry valuables during travel.. Few places buying tickets is not only important but accessing them too.. else end up paying fine!! Before trying a local food please enquire about its contents as few may be allergic to certain food!! Learn few words of the places you travel!! Merci beaucoup!!
Thanks for the tips, Nadine! I’m new to traveling, and I am scared to venture out sometimes. My first travel destination, that I was responsible for, was San Jose Del Cabo. Do you have any advice on how to break out of your shell? I’m always on Costco travels website, or other travel websites and I always find myself coming back to Cabo, and or, Mexico. I’ve been to India and England, and other places, when I was younger, and my parents normally planned everything. But now I’m on my own, and I feel kind of clueless on what to do. Even in Cabo, I stayed around the resort and didn’t really do anything, and I did enjoy it, for the most part but I also felt I could have done more. It was nice to see the resort and the beach. Do you have a video, or advice on how to break out of your shell and open up to new destinations when you’re the one who is planning? Thanks! Keep up the awesome work
I am planning my first trip right now! I am from Australia and I am planning my first trip to Bali and I will only have just turned 17. I am not sure whether to go solo or not. It is very cheap to go to Bali from Australia so it won't cost over 1000 dollars.Your videos are very inspiring. Thank you.
Im taking my first big trip to Australia!! I felt like I needed to go there and something was telling me to go ! Everywhere I would see something regarding Australia!! So I'll be heading there October 2019!!
My first trip was in Japan. And it was the first time i was using the plane..... It was actually a learning experience. I've learned to not plan something for every hour of he day and to have some relax time lol.
GIRL! So proud of your success. I've been watching your videos for so long and you always inspire me to keep going in doing videos. Keep at it girl😘
Can you do a video on the appropriate dress for certain countries when traveling?
My first destination was Prague, came here with a bus trip from Ukraine when I was 14. Guess where I live now? Prague!! This is an amazing city with great architecture and culture, good adulation and work possibilities. :-)
Going to Germany for 6 weeks! So excited! Any must things to visit, everyone?
I'm a new vlogger and this stuff is really useful, thanks Nadine! :)
Travelling abroad; it will be my first time. I will be going to Ireland this March. However, I have flown to Chicago, and with were I live on the east coast, NY, NJ, MD, DC, PA and VA are all in driving distance in which I have been to, to a certain degree.
