Such a wonderful video and it captures our day so beautifully! Really lovely to relive it and remember the lessons that Clare and Ohn Mar taught us. I had never used a brush so small with gouache either 😂 but I was so pleased with the results! I’ve also bought one of those dip pens and the nibs that Ohn Mar used so I can’t wait to use it for more line work! 😊🧡🧡🧡🧡

Sounds like a wonderful workshop 🥰 even the place looks gorgeous and very inspiring to paint. I actually think painting with a tiny brush is a smart way to get to know the details of the subject you are painting before transitioning to a bigger brush, I will definitely try this in the future. Thank you for sharing your fun experience 🥰

Here's the excerpt about your video: Don't Wait - Seek (title) As I sat in front of my computer screen ready to write this week's feature article, I was stumped for an idea of what to write... A common piece of advice you'll hear at writing conferences, in books on writing, and from KZreadrs on writing is to not wait for inspiration before sitting down to write, but rather to put seat in chair and get to work. That if you show up, the Muse will too. And that's true... sometimes. But not always... I couldn't sit around waiting for inspiration to strike because that could take hours (or more!). I do have a list of ideas somewhere in my computer files. I could go there. Instead, I turned to KZread for ideas. I started watching a video by a watercolor/mixed media artist that I follow and boom! There it was. She said something about her tour through a flower garden as part of a painting workshop she attended. Part of what she said really resonated for me, both because of trying to think of what to write for this newsletter but also because of other times when I can't come up with what to write or write next. "...seek out the inspiration from your surroundings." Seek out inspiration.

Interesting video! And inspiring, too. I would love to attend a workshop like that someday, but I also liked how you gave ideas for getting inspired at home.

They really had the tables setup with so much inspiration and beauty in addition to all the flowers growing outside. I’m so glad you had such a great time. A workshop like this can give such a powerful infusion of inspiration.
