I usually dive drysuit here in Canada but if I use wetsuit and its on the cold side, I pour slightly warm water into my wetsuit immediately before I get into the water, usually buys you at least 15 minutes before you feel the cold. On my opinion you can dive wetsuit reasonably comfortable as cold at 50F. At depth if if goes colder than 50F I highly recommend a drysuit. Good tip with soaking the gloves and hood in warm water, Thanks!

anything below 20C (68F) is dry suit territory for me. I wear my dry suit even in the summer here in the UK, i just change the underlayer. There are good wet suit/semi-dry that can go to 4/5C (41F), but i rather not try that. Hot water in the gloves help, but I prefer wearing my dry gloves...and this was probably one of the best investments ive made...

@@PerezAdvent Lucky you, wish it was in the 60's over here lol Alot of Canadians try to manage below 50 at depth, well around the great lakes! Havent dived the Ocean here yet. There is many dark lakes here too where the Sun doesnt penetrate to the depth and its literally Winter at the bottom all year round. The top 60 feet is fine though, gets over 75F in Summer in many places.

even on the summer here in the UK, the hottest i recall was about 19C. so dry suit always. Wetsuit is more for travel...lakes here have a thermoclime about 10 meters, and 20meters is about 7C all year.
