So, here's my story about how to learn English! First of all, I know I'm not speaking English properly but I'll try to tell you guys how I did it! Ok, let's start! So I've been learning English about two years now, I was started with listening to a music and then bought a dictionary, at the first day I learned word by word and then try to speak out I got a lot of mockery from my friend but I don't give up, so after 6 months I already know some words and always try to speak out. It's getting so hard when there's no one to support you! So, I tried to find some foreigners to talk with, and I found them and they were nice to me, they always correct me for every mistake I made, I know it was so embarrassing but IDGAF! So, yeah here I am now! I know I still have to learn more vocabulary. My friend said (the foreigner) he said, "just do whatever you like to do no matter what people say to you, just listen to yourself" and you know what? some people's who's mocking me? they are now asking me to teach them😅 I just wanna say to y'all guys, don't give up! Just give it a try 😊😊😊

mau berbagi juga gimana aq belajar bahasa inggris... 1. aq belajar bahasa inggris itu otodidak, alias belajar sendiri dari kecil. karena dulu waktu masih kecil, papaku suka beliin video VHS film kartun disney yang jaman dulu tidak ada subtitlenya. bahkan salah satu film disney yg judulnya Aristocats itu berbahasa perancis dg subtitle bahasa inggris. 2. masih di masa kanak2 juga dulu orangtuaku sering beliin buku2 bahasa inggris dasar buat anak2. seputar pengenalan nama makanan, perabotan rumah, ato benda2 yg ada di sekelilingku. 3. nonton berita bahasa inggris. jaman dulu ada program berita berbahasa inggris di tvri (ketauan ya umurku berapa hahaha), aq mantengin aja depan tipi dan setiap penyiarnya menyapa penonton, aq ikut nyaut donk, "good morning..." gitu hahahaha itu sekedar awal2nya aq mengenal bahasa inggris. selebihnya kayak sekarang udh gede, ya nyari cara sendiri aja, sama kayak yg dikasih tau nessie di video ini. bermanfaat sekali loh tips2nya, jadi semangat memperkaya diri belajar bahasa inggris yg masih belepotan hahahaha...

let me share my tips for learn english: first of all, im not too well at english speaking but yeah i just wanna tell to you about my experience. since primary school i didnt know more about english subject coz my school not priority for english subject. i learn english when im on 3 grade in primary school, i love english for the first time because "twinkle twinkle little star songs" and more english songs especially "when you believe songs" i think that many song in english has more value moral so it took me to learn english day by day. and im very love to learn english until im graduation from my senior high school . some tips/ what you to do are; 1) Listening english music 2) watched a movie with english subtitle 3) watched an english channel in youtube 4) read an article or comment on english languange 5) brave to speak with english languange 6) have more pen pals from another country ( foreigner) 7) try to story telling . . hope you guys like my tips, im sorry if i make a mistake... thank you nessie for your tips! lot of love♡! sincerely, Melani.

@t a s y o t ur English is very good ::)). But I think point number 2 should be "When I was still in primary school" rather than "when i'm still in a primary school". And also for point number 10, it should be "until I graduated" (I think "since I graduated" would be a better choice tho but she has to change the whole sentence for that). And finally, for point number 17, I think it should've been "try to tell a story" I'm not sure about this one though. But in my opinion, "try to storytelling" is weird to hear. CMIIW :D

@t a s y o t Oh, and for point number 15 it should be "be brave to speak in English" I think the word "language" is not necessary there but you could also use "be brave to speak in the English language". Hope this helps!! ;) Edit: notice that you have to add "the" before "English Language".

I understand the accents and i can tell the difference but I can't speak with one particular accent 😁 I always speak English with American and British accent 😆 I mix them 😁 Especially the letter "T" Lol

Now after i watched this, i wanted to share my story of learning English to you guys, eventho my English is not that good. So, it's been a while since the first time i learned English. I've been learning English for like 16 years since i was 8 y.o. Back then, i took English course but only for 1 year. Fortunately, for that 1 year, my English grade was always at the top. But after i quit, my English grade was dropped 😅 Not to the extent i got score under 7, but still dropped. But after a while, my dad always bought DVD (bajakan, since the ori is as expensive as the movie ticket) and somehow he often to got the subtitles right. So, because i like to watch movies, i always turn the English subtitle on. If i don't understand some words, i looked up for dictionary or i asked my dad. And when i was in junior high school, i found another fun way to learn English. In junior high school, i got my first phone with mp3 player feature in it so listened to music a lot. Then, i found Lady Gaga and her song Bad Romance caught my attention. Since then, i listened to a lot of English music, looked up the lyrics at Google and just like what Nessie said, tried to understand the meaning. Later on i found out the meaning of Bad Romance is... 😅 And in high school, i still learned English, at the same time i helped my friends. This time i found another ways to learned English. So, i started to watched Korean variety show with English subtitle and that was helped a lot, i got to learned two languages at the same time 😁 And my English teacher when i was at the 3rd grade speaks like native, she speak with British accent. And she refused other language except English at her class 😅 So yeah, it took me 16 years so that i can speak English confidently. Idk if i still can speak English confidently in formal forum, so i'm still learning. Just because you can't do it now, that doesn't mean you can't do it forever. I believe language skill is something that we can learn, although some people born with such talent.

Nice story to share. Now Me, I've been learning English like almost 20 years since i was in junior high school. Been in love with English language since then. I could listen to music, sing along, read English book or magazine, watch movie without subtitle yet i also took English course which helped me in most of grammar and conversations. Now, sometimes i write my diary in English too. I always love language.

i have many toxic friends too , its like since i was 3rd grade i tried to spoke like a native , and they always said " hei org indo kok ngomong bahasa inggris ,hei kok gak nationalis , sombong banget sih , idih sok sokan " afterwards iam afraid to speak english rn 😔
