    Wow, I found your video very interesting, I have lived in Luxembourg for most of my life (and currently do) - and have been living in other EU countries, which means I never needed any paper work, interesting to hear how you had to do it to be able to work here. I'm very happy that you found such a nice appartement and that you seem to like it here.

    Great video. I got many useful information from this. Please tell about your monthly expense (without rent), like monthly grocessery cost to you for 1 person and what is for 2 person? What is the total average cost of living in luxembourge monthly? (beside rent/utilities) I am asking so that I and other people get the idea of cost of living there for 1 and 2 persons (without rent)

    Hi Justin, I just got my authorisation to stay last week and made an appointment at TLS Cape Town for tomorrow. The only thing I'm a bit uncertain about is the requirement to present myself at the municipality of my residence in Lux. How did you provide an acceptable proof of residence? I thought I would have to find an apartment within 3 days, but it sounds like you had a bit more time to hunt for an apartment! Any advice will be great! For now my plane ticket is booked for end of January.

    1350 euros for a studio...found my 1 bed in dommeldange, stunning views, swimming pool, sauna, shop and small pub on site for 850euros, but that was 15 years ago 😳😂🥰 Top tip, DONT live in the city, public transport is free, make use of it... If your a city dweller fine, knock yourself out but in Lux you’ll be hammered...even a few miles outside of the city will give you so much of a better lifestyle.

    Hey Justin, your room suits my taste. I'm wondering, with a 50K salary how much should go to rent? I'm thinking something like 800-900 a month, but I'm still not sure where I can get something good for that, given the choices and lack of real estate supply

  • @JustInBerlin

    @JustInBerlin

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey. Rent is very expensive in Luxembourg, with 800-900 you will likely only be able to afford a small room unless you share with someone in the city center. Otherwise areas like Mersch is a bit cheaper but further away

    Bank Guarantee: Basically your bank will hold your funds in a savings account you cannot touch, and the bank will give you a form stating this, that you will give the landlord/agent (Don't do deposits direct to landlord). Address when registering: With COVID they've been okay with hotel/apartment/AirBnB addresses, but make sure you move to permament address ASAP (as not updating will make your resident application process complicated).
