Its a pretty out of nowhere video so it's a little scuffed, but wanted to get the info out for all of you that may be struggling on keeping your WaPs and Exp potions up during totems! but how do you know they have the chop wood or whatever the function is to not talk to them, u have to talk to them to know, but then you lose the prompt if you do so how do you keep it

Once you ask tengu to chop wood, you afk for 30 minutes then click on the quest in the white lightbulb menu and you get the herb pouches? What happens if you click the quest early?

If you click the quest earlier then 30 mins, hell just get all grumpy and say, "Hey I need a few more minutes". This wont brick your quest at all, so if you forgot when you started the quest, its just used as a like, when was this done again sort of situation.

Quick question for the ask option I thought it has to have both "gather herbs and chop wood" as long as it has chop wood it's good?

Yea as long as it has one of them you are good to go! So chop wood is perfectly fine!

@@MrBirdyy17 damn I got one or the other options multiple times but thought I needed both so kept changing it daily lmao

Still confused on how exactly the reroll on asks works. When you do your first ask, does it immediately reroll to get the ask it’s currently showing you, or does it “queue” that character up to reroll when you ask them tomorrow (even if you ask them second tomorrow)? Not sure if I articulated the difference properly but I saw another video saying that if you get herbs on the first ask, you can just make sure to ask that character second the following day and you’ll be good (which implies the first option is true). Lmk if my question was unclear, tysm!

From what I have experienced, the first person you ask each day will 100% get rerolled the next day. So for example in the video, I ask Takeno Konoko to go collect bottles, that ask option will be different tomorrow. Once I relogged, it reset the ask quest and got my first ask of the day out of the way, allowing me to keep my Tengu option as collecting wood!

@@MrBirdyy17 sorry for adding more questions, but going through this method is the idea you only get 4 ask quests a day cuz the first one is used on avoid the reroll?

@@MrBirdyy17 This is not true, they get rerolled as soon as you ask and not the next day. This means you're not unlucky for getting herbs the first ask, because that's what you're looking for. I'll get proof for this because almost every tutorial video on this gets it wrong.

@@mikeoxlong4812 the reason the very first ask on a board being herbs is bad is because of exactly what you said, the first person you do the ask feature to each day, the next day that ask is going to be different. So that means, if you hit herb first.. the next day herb won't be there and youll have to look for herbs from another person.

@@MrBirdyy17 They must have changed it since the time you first set your ToF up. Right now it resets AS SOON as you talk to the person, there's no waiting until next day. And of course this changes everything because the first ask now does matter which got me confused since all guide videos say the same thing. I have proof with screenshots but unfortunately youtube doesn't allow me to post screenshots here, but I can dm you on twitch or something if you want.

do i talk to one npc until i lock in find herb/wood quest?. or do i ask back and forth between npc 'A' and 'B' until i find the right quest?

So when you are first setting up your threads of fate, the very first ask is in a sense "fodder", whether its herbs or something else, that first ask no matter what will be changed the next day. Once you have the first ask out of the way, you are searching for herb/wood from all of the other people, so you can work with your closeness on any and or all of them at the same time in hopes to find that herb. If you come across the instance of none of your people having herbs/wood, what you are fishing for now is to change that first ask of the day into herbs/wood. So in this instance you would swap who your first ask of the day is on the subsequent days following. This happening is pretty rare, but luckily there is a work around! Hope this helps

@@mikeoxlong4812 Im not sure what you mean jacob, it works for me like that still. Everyday when i talk to the original person Takeno, their option is different because I talked to them yesterday. As long as I continue to talk to her like I did in the video, Tengu who is my Herb guy, option will never change and will permanently stay as Herbs.
