Charles Evans I live in the west coast of Oregon so not sure how the money translates to USA $.... I like the four pack of brushes you use. Am working on getting better paints, but practicing your lessons I can watch with the paints I have...they are not great-very chalky looking (artist loft student paint-blah) but they are good for practicing. I have your book Charlie’s tips on my wish list in Amazon (although had new name on amazon) 😊 Love your lessons😊 thank you for posting them on KZread.

Dear Charles, I have rather successfully scratched sails and stones, however when I used expensive Saunders Waterford paper I failed, the sails didn't get white. Are the papers very different in this respect?

smokey almond there are big differences in paper, that's why I use this 140lb Winsor and Newton paper.

thank you charles over the weekend i tried many times to do rocks ,after seeing your tip with the card i have done my best work yet . now to try the people tip . the only thing i am finding is the paint i am using is not the same as yours so when you are mixing i am having trouble getting the same blend as you .
