Excellent video of erection of tentipi and porch, I noticed you wisely folded back the floor under entrance for wood storage. Would not have any floor under stove only fire resistant mat. Great to have a stove going when the weather is cold and damp. Thank you.

Hi tipiandknife! Great video and editing! I'm looking for a hot tent for northern canadian winters and the tentipi brand is one of the tents I'm looking into. I'd be using it as a backcountry skiing basecamp and for winter hunting mostly. It would be used either by 2 to 4 people and always with a stove. Would you recommend the 9, or should I go bigger to accommodate 4 people? What are your thoughts on the 15 in general? Have you ever tried the inner tent liner (not the mesh, but the actual liner) and if so, does it provide a good deal of additional insulation? I see you are using the floor in your video, it is a must-have for me too... One last question, what stove are you using and do you have any recommendations on stoves? Thanks a million!

Hi Olivier! Thanks for your kind words! We use the half inner Tent with our Safirflex (Safir15 which openes the sidewalls 90-360 Degrees). But we only use it for the summer time when its really hot. So I can't tell you if its a plus for isolation. Using it with a stove would be difficult because of the stove pipe and the mesh in the top. The Safir 9 would be perfect for 2 People winter camping - that's our kind of use. Its really fast to pitch and gives you a plenty of space especially with the Porch in the Front gives additional space for wet shoes or firewood. With 4 people and equipment its possible but I would go with the safir 15. Its MUCH more space inside the 15 compared to the 9. More space means you need more wood to heat it up, but I guess like in Sweden that should be not an issue in the Canadian wilderness. We use the Stove XL Stove since 2018 and its a perfect stove for the size 9. Maybe some kind of bigger stove would be perfect for the size 15 and cold Canadian winters. Don't misunderstand me - the stove is capable of heating up the size 15 in winter. But our German winters are not the same like yours I guess haha. Let me know if you have further questions. Michael Wolf i would never use an inner tent in winter conditions. Only a floor and a stove - perfect combination. And a cheap mosquito net for over the beds for summer camping.

Trying to decide between the 7 and the 9. Some of my hunting trips I go solo with packgoats. But I do plan to have friends family at some times is this overkill for the solo situation in setup and space and heat? You two looked really comfortable! Looks awesome just wondering why you guys went 9 instead of 7 and if you had any 2 cents for my scenario thanks for the amazing video really good in showing the quality and fit for this tent

Thank you very much for the kind words! I would always spend a little extra money for size 9. Its so much more space and comfort inside. If its only for very cold winter camping trips I would go for the 7 because it saves wood for the stove while heating the tent up. My sister has the Zirkon 7 and sometimes she is struggling with the size because its too small for some 2 Person trips. If you want to have a sturdy, easy to pitch tent with a lot of space - the Safir 9 will be perfect for you 😊

I saw the video well. In the same way, we are preparing with a gstove configuration on Tentipi Safir 9, but how many pipes do you use?

3 extra pipes are needed but I also have some extra like the cooking pipe oven. This gives some extra height to the pipe.

der Grenzgänger Danke! Freut mich zu hören, dass es dir gefällt! Die Betten sind Disc-O-Beds. Gibts zb beim Globetrotter. Sind extrem stabil, lassen sich auch übereinander oder als Sofa aufbauen, wiegen aber 30kg insgesamt.

Da hattet ihr ja eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre! Nehme gerne Inspirationen für mich mit. Habe aber erst seit einem Monat das Tentipi. Liebe Grüße aus dem Norden.

What brand/model of tent is that? I have a couple tipis but that porch is so nice.

It is a Tentipi Safir 9cp, with the Apsis 9 CP from Tentipi. Yes this setup is awesome :)

NIce video. I just ordered Safir cp. Can't wait for it to arrive. What cots were you using ?

A tipi from Tentipi which can be pitched as a tipi and it can be opened 360 Degree. Just google it :)
