Hi Yuriko, the most reliable place is the Thunderbird Blog where the majority of our development updates and feature announcements happen. blog.thunderbird.net. Thanks for the question!
Such a shame this doesn't work any more. My folders are in such a mess and it's so confusing. Please bring this back

Now it's default in Thunderbird! THANKS!
Thanks a lot for this tutorial, for me the most interesting part is that Thunderbird has its add-ons available to download inside app. I have been using Thunderbird for one year and I didn't know about it 😅. Thanks for all these tutorials quite good helping me improve my workflow 👍🏻

Thank you... Very well done! 😀
Is there any solution for the current versions of thunderbird?

Thanks for plugging an "experimental" Add-on. I don't waste too much time with the folder tree (1500 folders) and do all my navigation with QuickFolders, would love if you could feature it in one of your videos.
Next tip: More info on the new address book and how to use it
Unfortunately, this no longer works with Thunderbird 115 "Supernova"

I want to Sort by Unthreaded (by Date, Descending) for ALL folders/accounts (TB used to be this way as a default). The add-on doesn't offer that option. Thanks
We need a video on how to delete subfolders that won't delete.
This does not seem to work on the Linux version for Chromebook. I get the "Add Manually sort Folders? "Message but neither the ADD button nor the "Cancel" button work. That dialog box stays open until I quit the Thunderbird application making it impossible to do anything else. Thunderbird Linux version 102.13.0 -64 bit. Thanks!
Once you manually sort the accounts, is there a way to save the settings. When you close and reopen thunderbird it appears you have to manually sort again.
Works well for folders. How do I sort any sub-folders within a folder?
@thunderbirdproject
Жыл бұрын
Exactly the same way as described in the video using the "Manually Defined" sort method. Highlight the subfolder you want to move, and select Move Up or Move Down.

@@thunderbirdproject Your correct. The expand symbol on the folders within the tool was so light on my computer that I didn't see it. Thanks!
How can I hide subfolders? In new thundibird they stay always visible which is very uncomfortbale. Is it possible to hide them once? (and no to be forced to do each time while opening the programm?)
Hi, using Thunderbird 102.4.2 (64 bits) (recently reinstalled) on Ubuntu 22.10 (freshly reinstalled), can't see the extension menu in Parameters > Tools menu. Deleting & reinstalling the extension does not change the situation. Any idea?
why cant they include this into the application itself??
Das wäre schön, wenn das funktionieren würde. Unter Endeavour /Arch) kann man keine Extensions installieren....🙃
Recently I was tempted to ask how to attach my pk, because of the new version it was elsewhere. Just by chance discovered. But I will come up with other quests! Thus using Tb fully!
do you have any add on like mail open, click ,reply % ratio ?

Not sure we understand the question. Can you please elaborate?
my delete function takes a relatively long time [30 to 60seconds] to move deleted messages to the deleted folder - why is this? and can it be improved
This video is only 10 months old and OUT-OF-DATE....UGH!! Does not work on most recent version of TB v115.0.1
Can Thunderbird sort by sender?
@thunderbirdproject
5 ай бұрын
If you click on 'Quick Filter' and enter the sender's e-mail into the search bar, it will bring up the options to filter by Sender, Recipients, Subject, Body. Make sure only sender is selected, and let us know if this works!
I'm using Thunderbird 115.7 and there is no compatible add-on and my folders are a mess!!! Please HELP!!!!!

This feature is now default in Thunderbird, so it shouldn't need an add-on. support.mozilla.com is our official support forum and has amazing community volunteers and team members who can answer questions.

@@thunderbirdproject It's not default in Thunderbird. You can drag-and-drop account folders, but not the folders within each account. This needs to be fixed.
For some inexplicable reason Thunderbird created a second Drafts folder, and TWO extra under Local Folders! I now have to search up to 5 of them to find a draft email. Exasperating!
an easier way to put an often used folder at the top is to precede the name with underscores. thus mail becomes ____mail. you can use as many ___ you want if you want to create different "sections" of importance. for example, ___music would be on top __shop with only 2 underscores would be below it. adding folders for each section can be alphabetic. hope this is understandable. very long time thunderbird & firefox users. ~roz

I had to stop using Thunderbird, too many bugs and crashes. went back to SeaMonkey
could you not go any faster?
Why does the Thunderbird Team always have to break every good thing about Thunderbird, and constantly make it less and less customizable? The whole concept of Thunderbird (and Firefox) was that they were infinitely customizable, but both apps have been getting less and less customizable with every release, making it harder and harder to do even the most basic customizations. This whole relying on CSS to do most customizations is a real pain for people who aren't familiar with CSS coding. The early releases of Thunderbird either had menus or options to customize, or could simply drag-and-drop to make Thunderbird look the way you wanted it to. With each new release, I have to search the internet to try to find what the development team broke, and it's a serious waste of my time. I would have given up on TB long ago if there was just another open-source, highly-customizable and extension-compatible email client. I hate using internet portals for email.
Really Thunderbird seems to be so much BS. First of all, it starts with the sort order upside down. The only email client in the whole wide world that shows oldest messages on top? And then, Google helps me to find an extension that is supposed to give me control over the sort order, but when I try to install it, it tells me that it isn't compatible with my version of Thunderbird. I understand, this is a community-built project. But I wasn't aware that community support means to deal with some ridiculous nonsense. Sorry, back to Outlook. Thunderbird only took 5 minutes to convince me that this is not a product for a regular user, but only for super nerds.
