    Thank you for another great video. I love my wind shirt and wind pants. The shirt is 3oz and the pants are 4oz, and my Six Moons Design Gatewood Cape 11oz. They pack so small that they go everywhere with me and double as a travel pillow because the pants and shirt will also fit into the integrated pocket of the rain poncho. They are not the most stylish but when caught in an afternoon rain shower it is nice to be dry and warm. I did not put down the brands because both of the clothes have been discontinued but just search wind layer and you will see lots of options. Purchasing used or thrift items has always been a very useful travel hack for me especially for cruise ship port towns. Thank you for another great video. Safe travels.

    I always carry a USB C to Lightning adapter, since most battery banks are coming with USB C cables for charging the battery. This way, I don't have to bring a second cable to charge my iPhone and I just put the adapter in the pouch with the battery and cable. I picked up a 3 pack off of amazon for $5.

    I bring a pvc coated multi strand stainless steel cable with a loop in each end (and a code lockable carabiner). I can tether two carry-on luggage pieces together, link 2 or 3 zippers on one luggage, or secure my wallet inside my handbag (won’t drop it or have it snatched when out of handbag). My short stainless steel chopsticks and ti spork are always my go-to for eating leftover or supermarket bought meals. Also for cup of noodles I have to have chopsticks. A foldable ripstop reusable large size grocery bag is always in my handbag. I buy grocery to cook in my lodging therefore having a strong reliable nylon bag is super handy.

    Although not a branded item, UL and multipurpose travel accessories are great and won't cost much. Repair kits of fish line and safety pins can be used for quick repairs of clothing and gear as well as an improvised clothesline, in a pinch. Wrapping a shortened pencil in quality duct ("100 mph") tape can also serve to cover a fabric rip, provide short-term relief for a blister, waterproofing, covering an annoying light or camera lens, and so much more. Coffee filters and a rubberband to make your own coffee dunks, a water prefilter, and more. So many things around the house cost pennies to nothing and can accomplish the same tasks. Repurposing those mylar post office envelopes to make a custom-sized pouch by burning new seams in or using tape, etc. Use straws to hold medicines, condiments, and more. Always travel with a small pouch of repair items that weigh little to nothing. It may not have a fancy brand name but it gets the job done. Learned a great deal of tricks and tips while ul traveling. Reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle, relax.

    Rolling square incharge 6 is a better choice as it can handle usbA to usbC, usbC to usbC, usbA to lightning and usbC to lightning... but if you look close the lightning end doubles as a usbMicro as well...there is a slit in the middle of the lightning adaptor that you simply need to be sure the lightning adapter goes over the usbMicro “tip” inside a usbMicro port,one cable that goes on your keychain handles every possibility except usbMicro to usbMicro

  • @Sideband
    @Sideband2 жыл бұрын

    I'd recommend the LeverGear CableKit as an alternative for the Rolling Square cables. Roughly the same size, but it packs into a small plastic keychain, has an adapter in it (Cord is USB-A to Micro USB or Lightning, with an adapter for each, and a USB C adapter), plus a SIM tool and SIM tray inside. Same caveats as the Rolling Square (too short to use as the only cable, not flexible so no wall outlet charging) but a bit more practical overall.

    If you’re willing to give up a bit of portability (this one’s longer) I prefer the Luxtude 5000mAh battery. Same features but a bit more juice and that juice goes a long way on extended hikes, etc where you’re away from a more robust charger or wall outlets. Regarding the InCharge cable, unless you’re a single cable end type of user the again slightly bigger & heavier InCharge 6 is so much more practical imo. It’s more robust, can connect everything and the magnets are much stronger. I’ve lost 2 minis and yes it’s my fault for not paying enough attention when I pull my keys out of my pocket or sling but really should I need to worry about such things, that’s rhetorical because of course I should not have too.
