Some facts about this video: 1. I was originally gonna make this longer with more scenes from Wang Film Productions & Encore Cartoons but I had to reduce that because they would’ve been time consuming. 2. When making this video, all I had were TV rips which weren’t in great quality, I scrapped the video for a few months until I found a proper rip with better quality & better audio.

What makes TMS stand out is not the animation quality but the perfect synchronization with the musical score, an essential part of Looney Tunes legacy. This is even more visible in the Vacation movie and the chase sequences. Same thing with their Animaniacs segments, especially the Warners and Rita and Runt episodes. Rest of the studios, while more expressive in some cases, lack a lot in the synchronization element. TMS also did the animation for Japanese commercials related to Tiny Toons.

Good reel! Kennedy Cartoons fun facts (EDIT - Did all with research): - Mike Milo (creator of IgnoraMooses and Bloo's Gang) was an inbetweener in the studio, and Kirk Tingblad (in charge of season 2 of Johnny Bravo) was McClenahan's assistant - Some animators like Sung Ku Won, Jin Kim, Noh Yonkun were former Hanho Heung Up animators, working for Little Dino Dooly; Jin Kim later went to work for Disney, Noh was the animation director for Pinky and the Brain at RDK, and Sung ku Won worked on recent seasons of the Simpsons - An uncredited Jamie Dawkins later went to animate... Kennedy Cartoons Handled MOST of Season 1(1990-91). If you watch the Pilot "A Looney Beginning" and the Episodes like "Elmyra Capturing Buster" and "Buster getting Framed by Montana Max for Shoplifting", "Hampton being a victim of a Scientific Aroma Experiment" gone bad or the episodes where Plucky and Hampton attempt to steal a Candy Bar, you can tell its Kennedy Cartoons because of that really "Zany and Fast Track" Pacing and Design. Startoons only handled a handful of Episodes. The One I remember the most was "Thriteensomething".

*TMS* looks the most cinematic with more attention to shadows, lighting, composition and consistently keeping the characters on model(the summer vacation movie was the best thing they ever animated for WB). Though, I love TMS’ animation, I always loved how *Startoons* had more exaggeration and experimentation with squash and stretch and was more bouncy and cartoony than TMS(this is also true for anything animated by John McClenahan, David Feiss, and Glen Kennedy). While Kennedy Cartoons did have the squash and stretch element, it was far less consistent. Sometimes Glen Kennedy would animate 1/3 of an episode, and nothing else, and no other animator at the studio could match his distinctive style.

Kennedy cartoons were the best when they were heavily animated by Glenn himself. I love the bounciness and silliness of his characters. Much like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, the characters radiate that beautiful childish energy with his animation techniques. 15:26 is a great example of when Kennedy was GREAT. 18:03 is a great example of when they weren't. PS: 17:36 to 17:46 is a shot animated by Wang since Kennedy's animation wasn't liked by WB execs and they commissioned other studios to replace certain scenes. 20:04 is a Kennedy cartoon with Jon McClenahan's animation (before he broke away from Kennedy and started Startoons). 22:08 also.

TMS: big goated Startoons: quiet goated and deserved much more than it got from the industry. My favorite of Startoons was Batman: TAS's "If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Rich?" Kennedy Cartoons: UNgoated. Ugly to some, but never afraid of a shrinking budget and a slave to organic motion. That Batduck toon is gorgeously reckless and I love it.

TMS is now owned by SEGA. They took over FULL time for TTA Animation in 1991. AKOM only did Animation for the Episodes "Animaniacs" and "Plucky's Anvil Symphony" Back during the Late 80s, it was less common to have Animation outsourced to Korea. Wang Films/Cuckoo's Nest are very well known and Infamous. They Handled 90% of Hanna Barbera's Animation Output during the 1980s. Startoons did the animation for the Tiny Toons Cereal Commercial and the Episode "Thirteensomething".

WHEN CARTOONS WERE STILL CARTOONS AND NOT TALKATIVE SITCOMS LIKE GUMBALL AND THE LOUD HOUSE. This was much closer to the cartoons made during the Golden Age of American Animation than both Gumball and Loud House in that it retained the physical slapstick comedy like mallets, bombs, dynamites, TNT's, anvils, flattened characters and even smoking and alcohol. Pop culture references from the 40's and it's own time as well. Although the descriptions for Gumball, The Loud House, and any other politically correct cartoon may describe them as "wacky", in practice, those shows don't feel wacky to me. This, Animaniacs, and Nickelodeon's Ren and Stimpy were all heirs of the Golden Age. Despite being born in the late 2000's, thanks to the internet, I know these shows since age 8 and I used to watch Tiny Toons a LOT on KZread in 2016.

With Encore the fundamentals of good cartoon animation are barely even there. Like all of Hamton singing/dancing is really awkward, and like look at 30:32 when Max is about to deck Hamton - bad line of action, really awkward stiff poses... yeesh!

Legit the scenes by Encore Cartoons look like something out of those weird Western European animated shows from the 1990s-early 2000s, particularly stuff like D'Ocon Films Productions' shows or Oscar's Orchestra. Though this could be a case of them using the same techniques they used for Chucklewood Critters' 80s specials(before the late 90s TV show) if rumors are to be believed.
