They've been using the retractable stairs up to a small sleeping loft in European design for many years now. You can find videos of it right here on YT, but well before the pandemic...so maybe 5-7 or more years ago, or maybe even longer.

What's astounding to me is that a generation of people glued to social media seems to fail to understand how many other THOW dwellers have had the mold experience before them because they failed to grasp that. It's like they're new to watching videos? lol We've seen YTers go through this over...and over...and over...in van builds, tiny home builds, micro apartment builds...and they have to tear everything out, throw their mattress away, get rid of the moldy wood platform and build that area over again with BOTH an air exchanger AND some kind of small platform that prevents this from happening in the first place.

I didn't retain a single thing either of them said after the first 2 minutes because the extreme upspeak -- especially his -- was like nails on a chalkboard. I'm normally very much of the 'to each their own" mindset, but this is one glaring exception. Because it's not just annoying, it's also stopping a lot of people from even taking in the info he's trying to communicate, which must be antithetical to the purpose of the video, right?

Great build and layout, and lovely couple! (But please learn to speak normally without raising pitch.)

Sorry can’t watch due to the upspeak. Not every sentence has to be a question.

Very neat house...but the guy speaks in "up speak." They both do, but the guy is worse.

What 🤔 ? English is not my first language, but I do understand them both with no problem . My mother taught me : if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all 🤪

@@annetakubiak3374 It's a sign they're "woke" -- and it ain't pretty. Also, it is annoying.

Oh my! It's a shame that the featured couple is so annoying to listen to. If you're going to have someone on your program and they don't know how annoying this sounds, it's bad on your producer that you didn't clue them in. Maybe all of their friends speak this way but the rest of the country does not. I ended up commuting so I could stand to watch it. Seriously.

Haha Murikkkans trying to say *basil* is hilarious. BAY-SIL. 😂 Almost as funny as Murikkkans saying squirrel: SQRRRRRL. 😂 It’s ok to pronounce the vowels.
