Watching from New Zealand. Really enjoying your blogs. Dave and yourself are a couple of workhorses. Is there nothing you can’t do. Great work

I am very impressed with the result of all your hard work. My opinion, for what it's worth, is don't acid wash the wall outside. It looks good. Don't put bedding plants in; they need looking after replacing each year etc. Put in some small shrubs. Hydrangeas or something low growing and evergreen, pobably needs to be acid loving there. You will have much less maitenance and lower cost long term. See what grows locally in other gardens. Perhaps use bedding plants to fill in until they have grown. I wouldn't paint the fences. They will always need repainting. I think I would prefer less bright paint on the houses but I'm not bold and that may fit in with the local vibe. Why has part of each patio not been paved? You know I said that about the fence panels but Dave really wanted them painting.. decisions, decisions.. yeah I’m leaving the wall now not going to acid wash.. I’ve added your suggestions to my garden centre shopping list haha! Definitely low maintenance and green all year ideally 😁👍🏼

Hiya Matthew I’m finally all caught up on your videos now 🎉🎉🎉 next door Sue sounds really nice and sounds like she’s glad that someone bought her neighbouring house and has put it back to what they should be and she’s helping you learn to talk Welsh and it really helps as you may say something and pronounce it totally wrong giving it a swear word meaning or something derogatory to her but she sounds really sweet. And will keep you right. I always find once one person warms to you it doesn’t take long before more people are talking to you and you’re in with the bricks.

Yeah, I’m pretty laid back.. I cringe a little when making noise as nobody likes it.. but hopefully once done that will be right for many years to come and the neighbours can relax.. Sue reads the comments.. she doesn’t speak welsh but I’m learning from Ann another lady in the street :) All will be invited, thinking of having a party once done for all to enjoy 😁👍🏼

So sweet to see Sue's Tupperware and hand-written note - she's great! Love to Rockin' Rocky - sausage and cheese king - take what you can while the taking is good! I agree, walking naked in a locker room is disgusting and inappropriate, worse than what you experienced is men in women's locker rooms, it's really happening, ugh. I think the plasterer gestured to you his feelings on being filmed haha. So glad you're taking safety to a new and necessary level. Good for you for pointing out the benefits of what you've done for Anglesey - I read about it again today and it sounds like a lovely spot and if I ever visit will definitely tour the never completed castle. Panels outside and plaster work looks terrific.

My next project is building some steps/ stairs into our loft that are more stable than the metal ones we have now. Like I said previously I’m a DIYer so waiting to see your stairs to mezzanine 😜😀🥳

I've only just started watching your videos. I grew up on Anglesey a very long time ago and we used to go through your village to the beaches. I still occasionally pop back to the island but we don't live in the UK now. I'm sure I'll take a sneaky look down the street the next time I'm on the island. It looks like you have really done a great job.

Hi the H&S could help with stopping accidents, things that can be done in a few moments can stop somebody getting hurt ( that’s not me pointing the finger I’ve been just as guilty back in the day ) so well done. The view the countryside was great, the gym you can keep that one 🤣🤣all the best& my dogs love cheese 👍🐝🙃🧀

We’ve had work done whilst I’ve been away, so next week should be good progress!

Subscribed and liked, love what your doing restoring these properties. Better to see them used than in disrepair. Once holidayed on the isle many many moons ago, would love to visit again, Love Rocky.

If you were to live in one of those houses, with your children going to local schools, and using the other property (ies) to earn enough to live on you really would be supporting the community. But for the three properties to be just holiday homes you aren’t adding much to the community for its future. Yes you’ve brought some trade in during the build…. But it’s not helping the community long term.

I’d definitely live in one of these if I could convince my mrs haha! As for supporting the community long term, we’ve got a surprise in store that we’ll be working on.. all will be revealed 😁👍🏼 I mean we’ve spent 60k on the island so far refurbishing that’s noting snub, it’s more than most local businesses but I know you didn’t mean it like that.. The laundrette, local cleaners, maintenance men, the pubs, restaurants, shops all get paid.. Anglesey is the most dependent on tourism, if it didn’t work we would be building houses, converting HMOs single let’s ect.. I understand peoples don’t like holiday let’s, but for me I sleep at night knowing that I’m putting into the system rather than taking.. I’ve contributed more in 6months than most do in their lifetime 😁👍🏼

Even if the properties are vacation rentals, property taxes are bringing money into the area and new visitors will be spending money at the stores and restaurants, putting money into the community, so you are doing a good thing! Don't listen to the negative comments! We very much enjoy your videos. You seem like a lovely, even tempered person, who is also a cutie, lol. (Don't tell hubby I said that)!
