This is very pretty so far! Are there sheds/cabins that are 18' deep or are ever sold as double-wides? Would be interesting to see a building that is not so elongated but a bit deeper like a true rectangle, if that makes sense, 18x36, for example.

No, I never said that. 16x56 is the widest and longest we make.
Are these available in Minnesota?
You guys install electrical but not plumbing or water lines? I am seriously considering the "shed-to-house" option. I don't understand how you would install the water lines without tearing apart the beautiful interior walls. I've watched several videos and everybody seems to be running the water lines between the studs behind the walls. A regular mobile home runs the water lines underneath the structure and through the floor at each sink, toilet, shower etc... Why isn't this explained more in any videos. I personally would prefer the water lines to be run underneath and outside the structure for easy maintenance or expansion. I live in a mobile home and I am thankful for the easy access to my water lines. I do all my plumbing myself but would never attempt to install the plumbing behind the walls and drilling through each stud. Could you pleaase expand on the plumbing issues or options?

We just finished a 16x50 garden shed from another company (local for us). Yes, we ran pex lines through the studs before finishing the walls. I designed our interior to make sure all the plumbing and septic were on the back wall for ease of hookup and troubleshooting if ever necessary. We built it as an in law addition to our property for my father. Two bedrooms, one larger bath, laundry/pantry, and large open living area. It’s perfect and I’m tempted to give him our house and we will move in there!

Don't have this if you live in Bear Country, those doors are not it. LOL. Not the most secure doors I've ever seen and coming from the industry that I do, that matters. This is very nice though but I would have more secure doors

There is no plumbing installed. The dryer will not be vented to the outside

No plumbing, these are portable buildings. Plumbing doesn't flex too well during shipping and each county has their own plumbing rules. We serve a pretty huge area and their regulations are too much to keep up with. If they ever make some universal plumbing regulations, we'll be all over it. For now, customers are having a local contractor add the plumbing after delivery. The vent holes are also very easy to add, but we don't want to sip with 4" holes in the floors or walls.
So if you have guest they would have to go into a bedroom to use the bathroom. No thanks

What is price?
Folks are caught up in this fad, and getting milked in the process, just to live in a shed. LEARN about the realities first. Property. Property development. Impact fees (vary municipality to municipality). Utility hook=up fees. Well drilling fees, and/or septic installation. Paving. Excavation. Legal costs. The list goes on, and on, and on, trust me. You end up paying nearly just as much as you would to purchase a smaller, older home at the end of the day. Instead, you're now living in a shed, washing your own dishes, going out to do laundry and standing on the second floor of your shed feeling the wind, (and any nearby traffic) rattling your entire homestead. Think twice.

Uhm. We have a dishwasher and utilities in ours so I'm not sure what you're going on about. Plus AC/heat.it's better than the trailer we were renting out that didn't have any of that, but twice the monthly payments we're making on a shed. Buying any sort of living quarter is going to come with fees, taxes, upkeep, etc. My brother in law bought a $300,000 house and is going to eventually have to redo most of the walls himself anyway. With a trailer, you have everything you were talking about but it depreciates in value immediately. It will never gain value. Yes, there's pros and cons but.... What gives you the idea that people don't have basic utilities? Maybe some, but we got a 16x52 and it fits all those things.

Sounds like you have a nice cozy life and home, that you can be so judgmental. We are all aware that these structures would have to be put on a piece of land and all that other stuff would need to be done (well, electrical, etc). But some people already have all that, so this is a good option. Or some have the experience to do a lot of work themselves. What you described, going out to do laundry and washing dishes by hand, is quite overblown. You talk like these ppl are living in their van down by the river. 😂 I see dishwashers and washers all the time in these sheds. But yes, Joseph, please enlighten us with your infinite knowledge of property development….for all us dummies. Sheesh.
