I 100% agree with your artist before vocals or vice versa observation because I get the very same impression. And from the way I've seen people react, it feels like that's more or less the impression most others are getting too. So that's a very apt way to put how an artist presents themselves in performance. And with artist before vocals type, there's a strong sense of organicness and naturalness that allows audience to both see them as a person and the music that they're performing all at once. With the latter type, when we think of them, inevitably their singing voices will be what floats up in our heads first before anything else. Not the music and certainly not the artist as a person. Like we think of the artist as the voice. No matter how famous the artist is. Because their fame is mainly due to their voice. It's what their names and faces are synonymous with. I feel most artists known for their vocals, are in the latter category. More commonly found in the former one are hip-hop artists, I think. I'm not so sure about RnB artists. Although, I must say, for the artist betore vocals type, there are subsets still I think. Like you have the sort that Kaze is, where even though the artist comes first, the vocals are also very much part of it. And then there's the sort hip-hop artists fall into, where the artist is very much the main event and everything else, including vocals (mostly the rapping sort) comes a distant second. Also, it's -ze as in"-zey." Kah-zey. Forget google translate. Go here and hear the guy say it for himself: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q52grMt8o5PQc7w.htmlsi=U3AhAd4icS3U6D_p This should help set the record straight once and for all :)

I like your reaction☺️ Btw, I dont think you need to worry about the pronunciation of his name. He seems quite open minded and I dont think he minds that kind of minor thing haha👍
