The music and ambience made me feel as though I was in the 50's. These are the people who build the industrialized world. Too bad it is a lost art, for most purposes. Well done Mr. And Mrs., well done indeed.

Cool worhshop! Where I worked before as a tinsmith it was two things that applied; Hi-tech machines and ORDER, ORDER and ORDER.. Your workshop looks more traditional and "cozy" out! :D Thumb up from me!

@@oldmanfromscenetwentyfour8164 That job is still alive (at least in Germany), nowadays we work more on roofs but we also learn to do stuff like in the video. I am glad i've learned that profession, I am 26 now.

HI, he rolls it multiple times to break the grain of the metal so that it flows in the same direction giving a smoother curve with no flats. He wipes the panels down at the end to remove any grease or dirt from the job. The template would be calculated using pattern development: parallel line, radial line or triangulation. Although I'm guessing a guy of his experience would probably just have made one using a piece of card and it would be close enough. I hope this helped.

There is more money in them then ever before. In the old days a good tinsmith would make several lamps or pans a day and that would pay for a small house(or rather shed) and food and drink. Nowadays people with this kind of skills can make custom cars and bikes and all sorts of stuff that can bring in six figures for a real master.

It is really fun to learn old arts, I love working with my hands, and someday nobody will be able to afford store items, so you will all need to make things yourself. Any how He makes the horns, I make the records for Edison cylinder Phonographs, there are only 3 of us, who make blanks from raw materials.
