Tinderuta (the Peak Route) is a 5-day ski touring adventure through the western part of Jotunheimen, Norway. During the 5 days, we climbed and skied several spectacular 2,000-metre peaks, and skied through a majestic and breathtaking winter landscape.
Tinderruta has been established as a good alternative to the Høgruta (Haute Route Jotunheimen), which runs further east. West Jotunheimen is known for having a lot of snow and stable conditions. This makes Tinderuta a good (in most cases better) alternative to the Høgruta if you are looking for snow-proof multi-day ski touring in some of the wildest terrains we have in Norway.
And finally, when adding amazing (but freezing cold) weather, untouched powder, and a fantastic group of people this is very hard to match anywhere in the world.
