This episode saw Dean and the camera's head to the popular day ticket fishery Linear Fisheries in Oxfordshire, This venue is a renowned Carp fishing Mecca, however we were after the slightly smaller inhabitants, the Tench!
Large Tench are very few and far between but Manor at Linear almost turns that statement on its head. The average size of Tench in there is around the 7lbs mark so our target for this trip was to catch a tench of over 9lbs in the hope that maybe we could catch a double...

Great informative video and what a session.
Nice fish and angling, but once again it's all about these busy commercial popular fisheries stuffed full of Carp and boilies and bivvy boys and spods and it's so far removed from catching a Tench from a wild venue.Give me an ancient farm pond with a 2lb Tench in it and i'll take that over this. And John Wilson would not be proud, he would rather fish the river for Roach.

Why don’t you spend your time trekking up and down the natural waters of the UK looking for natural fisherman, rather than come to busy commercial youtube, stuffed full of videos? Go back to your likely-sticky John Wilson VHSs and leave us alone.
Just met the man at Stoneleigh he recommended I watch this video on my favourite venue thanks for the tips fella and I'm definitely going to be having a punt with the tench this spring

What peg was this filmed at? Or are all pegs similar productive wise for the tench?
Damn the more of these videos I watch the more I see hes passionate and pretty good at fishing and didn't get it handed to him on a plate because he's an ex Olympic athlete

Top bloke saw him down churchgate a few months ago not as brash as some other so called top anglers

A waste of viewing time, horseshoe can you guys be any more predictable...... How about some other venues like Sywell or Cheddar reservoir????
