Lyrics:
All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don′t look at their faces
And you don't ask their names
You don′t think of them as human
You don't think of them at all
You keep your mind on the money
Keeping your eyes on the wall
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′ll do what you want me to do
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do
I want to make a million dollars
I want to live out by the sea
Have a husband and some children
Yeah, I guess I want a family
All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don't look at their faces
And you don′t ask their names
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′ll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do
Deutch marks or dollars
American Express will do nicely, thank you
Let me loosen up your collar
Tell me, do you want to see me do the shimmy again?
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′ll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do
All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don′t look at their faces
And you don't ask their names
You don′t think of them as human
You don't think of them at all
You keep your mind on the money
Keeping your eyes on the wall
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′ll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
Just a private dancer, a dancer for money

I'm so sad. Tina we love you. An amazing woman who was rejected by her parents, picked cotton, one of her sisters died with her cousin in a car crash, decades of abuse with Ike, left without a penny and became a superstar. Tina you will never be forgetten ever we love you RIP my love !!
This woman gave her life for her liberty. She was beaten and disrespected. Yet she rose from terrible pain and is a beacon for women. That no matter what and where you come from that you are valuable to this life and that you mean something to this universe. Rainy day thoughts.
RIP Tina! You’re part of the soundtrack of our lives!❤

In 1984 i was in the Army, German Bundeswehr, and they played it permanently on the Radio. I loved this song Then and now...

Absolutely agree with you!
There will never be another voice like her. In my eyes she had no competition and she sung better than a lot of men. Her voice was so strong and silky. Whew 😅 ❤

of course she sang better than a lot of men! she’s one of the best singers ever, only the best male vocalists could compete with her, she was top-tier regardless of the gender of her competitors

Amazing how much talent they all had back then compared to now. Tina was definitely top tier among the greats.

She had a lot of soul in her voice --- it lent credence to whatever vibe she was reaching for in her songs

Very weird comment to make - as if you think men usually sing better than women??
