I first saw Ms. Turner perform with Ike Turner and the Ikettes at L.A.Valley College in 1965. I never saw anyone with so much energy and charisma! I couldn't imagine how skinny Ike Turner could possibly handle a woman like her. I later saw her perform in Las Vegas, maybe 20 years later. No longer in her 20s, but her dancers struggled to keep up with her. What a dynamo! Tina Turner lives in rarified air. She has very few peers.

Now this is what I call a really good cover of a Stones song. Tina always loved the boys and they love her. A great example how to perform a good song in a rocking way. I guess that´s the way the Stones would perform it nowadays, if they had played it more often on stage over the years. Unfortunately many of their songs ended as babies and got no chance to "grow up" - as Keith often says. Hope you´re doing well, Tina!

"What a drag it is gettin' old ..." would be fitting pretty well concerning their age. Anyway, I hope you're havin' a ball at the concert tonite. I'm going to see them on Sunday in Munich. Coracle Joe can never ever forget her; may no longer be touring but I shall treasure the two occasions I was able to see her forever! even 'on here' her performances and her bands (The Revue!) all go on.. saw her at US Live Aid and again shortly after that when she did a tour. incredible band she had, she was simply astonishing; electrical performer. beautiful rapport onstage with her Revue as well.
