If you get store bought eggs they need to be refrigerated but if u get eggs straight out the coop you can leave them out if you don’t wash them

Yes @ peanut butter on eggo waffles and syrup. I thought that was standard to add protein. And no I'm not fat. If anything its healthier because it fills in the voids of the waffle, so your syrup will be overflowing much quicker, so you use less syrup.

That mochi waffle is definitely something I've got to make myself.

Eggs aren't able to stay out of the fridge in the USA due to the unnecessarily extremely hard wash they give them at the treatment facilities which destroys the outer layer of protection for the contents of the egg, European eggs don't get as rough of a wash and they can stay out with no problems

Alot of USA eggs you need to refrigerate since they have to be washed.

True story, you can leave eggs out of the refrigerator but not ones you buy from the store. My parents have chickens, and I knew someone else who raises chickens. If you get eggs straight from the farmer, or someone who just raises chickens and sells the eggs, the eggs do not need to be refrigerated unless they are washed. The is a layer over them that prolongs the egg and when washed it is removed. All eggs you buy from the store are washed during processing, so any eggs you buy from the store or market, always keep them refrigerated.

Eggs from the store should be in the refrigerator, but if you get them straight from the chicken and dont wash them they can sit room temp for quite some time :>

I have only known the leaving the eggs out vs in the fridge is UK (as well as almost rest of the world) vs USA thing. In the US, eggs are washed and dried. However, that process removes a protective coating on the egg. Because of that, American eggs are more prone to infection from salmonella. Therefore, it's legally required by US food processing regulations that commercial eggs be refrigerated. In the UK (and other places) they don't go through the same process. Allowing them to not require the eggs being refrigerated.

For those of us living in America, you have to refrigerate the eggs you buy from stores. FDA regulations force egg manufacturers to wash off the protective coating that eggs naturally come with, making them susceptible to salmonella contamination unless refrigerated. If you harvest eggs yourself, then chances are you aren't washing off the natural coating and thus have no need to refrigerate them. Also, if you live outside of the US where it is normal practice to not wash off that coating, then you wouldn't need to refrigerate your eggs either.

In the US don't leave eggs at room temp for storage. This is because in the US eggs are washed prior to packing, which removes a membrane layer on the egg that allows the egg to be stored at room temp. Europeans can leave eggs at room temp as the EU does not mandate eggs must be washed. PS Peanut butter on waffles is so good.

Whenever I eat waffles I just pick up the waffle and eat it…yes that means NO syrup and NO butter. Also I eat it with my hands no fork and knife here
