MW2 just came out at the absolute perfect time in my life. No bills, no responsibilities, just my 2 best friends and just hours and hours of rotating a controller between the 3 of us. Sophomore year of highschool was good to me.

Damn I was like 8 when it came out, still played it day-in-and-out with some friends after school for years, good times. Now at 19 still playing it with my best friend, easy top 5 games of all time.

"I used duel mp5s and claymore or commando pro." So ur gonna give big maps low grades and small maps good grades....

This game really saved my life I would say, when this game came out I was living in the ghetto with my single mother and was starting to get into gang trouble, this game came out and met some cool kids online and it kept me inside for a good portion of my childhoodand I’m thankful because I’d probably be dead or in jail.

Terminal is S Tier. I won't accept anything else. THANK YOU, S+! Afghan in D and Estate in A? I can't. Finally, someone agrees with me.. RUST SUCKS AS A MP MAP. However, it's nostalgic asf because of 1v1s.

Rust was THE map for QS. Terminal was THE map for TS. Sub base was THE map for ARs. And Highrise was THE map for all 3 play styles. Terminal and Rust S+ Tier 100% Sub Base and Highrise S tier 100% Anyone who doesn’t agree I am convinced they never played MW2 without camping or using nubtoobs with scavenger all game. There’s just no shot. Free for all Rust is still PEAK Quick Scope content.

MW2 had the best map selection hands down. EVER. Such a great variety of close range and long range maps. They've never been able to replicate it

seeing all these maps again i cant believe how good they were. like not one of these maps i dislike thinking back on it... kids these days missed out!!

I'd love to see the MW2 weapons tier list form you Tim!

S: Highrise, Terminal, Favela, Rust A: Skidrow, Scrapyard, Sub base B: Wasteland, Estate, Afghan C: Invasion, Rundown F: Karachi, Quarry, Underpass, Derail Just my take. Gassed when any S or A tier map came up. Disappointed when a B or C tier map came up simply because you weren't playing an S or A tier map instead (all solid maps though). Left the lobby when an F tier map came up. Don't see a point in differentiating them between an D and F tier because they're all bad enough for me not to want to play the game.

Every pick is hot. He is ranking based off of memory alone. Nothing about bomb/flag locations, ground war capability, or spawns.

I loved all these maps tbh, everyone one I wanted to rank high. Some of my faves were Highrise, Favela, Estat, terminal- so hard to choose though.

Best part about mw2 maps is the you had to switch your weapons in order to do as good as you would on other maps. No one play style worked on every map.

yep, some maps you were almost forced to snipe or go straight into the action like wasteland - no BS in between. multiple different play styles could merge fluidly at once. Hasn’t been the same since. Just sweaty close/midrange gunplay

Hit my first ever cross map no scope on Estate, 53 kill streak on Rundown, unlocked Fall on the intervention playing Favela, hit most of my trick shots playing High Rise, Held most of my private lobbies on Rust, Got my best nuke on Invasion, Got my first nuke on Sub Base, won my first ever clan battle on High Rise, Landed most of my montage clips on Terminal. This game is fucking goated, and I will always remember playing it. Good. Times.

Oh god...off the rip mans mentioned the noob tube and I had flashbacks of rage 🤣🤣

My best clip in cod was on Terminal, playing SnD with my buddies. We were 2v1 in the final round and defending. Bomb was in the plane and my friend distracted the guy on the other team. I walked up behind the guy and cooked a grenade, killed that guy and myself for the final killcam and the win.

Afghan to me, was a solid B... I wasn’t excited to get it when I was kid but I was be like “ Screw it, give me my grenade launcher “ 😂😂

I forgive you for the turkey and ham placement on the thanksgiving list after what you said about rust

My list would have afghan and underpass up higher just because the AR play was really good in my opinion. it was fairly easy to get 4 or so kills then rat up to get 2 more to get the harrier using hardline. Subbase and derailed had great mid buildings to camp up with aa-12s. derail especially because if you got 4-5 kills you could bail and hide on map edge and gets some snipes to get a harrier. so id push them up too

I liked those maps when you could rotate it right it'd be so great for killstreaks but it's a double edged sword and could be a nightmare depending on who you're facing.

Brought back some fun memories, mw2 was one of my favourite call of duties, along side Black ops 2. I have to agree with some of you list, waste land was noob tubes all day lol

The nostalgia in this video just hit me in the feels

made my list before watching Tim's, let's see how they stack up, my top 5 going in (in order): Highrise, Terminal, Scrapyard, Invasion, Karachi

I had so many memories playing split screen on estate with my cousins. We had so much fun only fighting for the house.

me my dad and my brother would all play terminal together in a custom game, and he would shit on us because he had the custom classes. we had no idea what attachments were good so we would just take the last one to unlock and use it. So we always used thermals and the L86 LSW instead of the RPD for some reason. Then me and my brother would get mad at each other but id always win. Gotta love terminal. I hope they bring it back someday.

Its kinda mind blowing to look back at how much better the maps were compared to recently. The pacing and the amount angles alone make todays maps look like 5yr old made them.

As an SND player, Invasion was one of my favorites.

i remember sniping with the JOKR on Quarry because of how tight and congested the lanes were at spawn....good times

Yep that was fun as hell I also have vivid memories of prenerf model 1887s sniping people across Quarry.

Loved that we could vote on the maps. Always voting for Terminal and High Rise 110%

Tier list every day I demand it

i think all mw2 maps should be c tier or above but i respect the honesty

In wasteland, if you got Ac-130 or Chopper Gunner it was almost a guaranteed nuked off of them lol

Got a nuke on Highrise once while running around back and forth the whole time capturing flags on capture the flag with the Uzi

Tim probably laid prone with akimbo MP5s on Skidrow at the bottom of the stairs hidden in the shadows

My favorite part of all of these tier lists is Tim constantly reminding chat that it’s his tier list, and he doesn’t care what they think 😂

Whilst I wasn’t a camper, (I would run around with Smg and Assault rifle or shotgun) it’s amazing how pretty much on point both of our lists are! With the exception of maybe two-three maps, I would put these in pretty much the exact same rankings. Nice choices! 🙂

Best list you’ve ever made

Wasn’t the biggest fan of Afghan but I did have my highest Kill streak ever on that map. (63) AC 130 on that map and you are Put in a GOATed position.

The problem with Afghan was the chopper gunners, you couldn't hide and the spawn camping made it really easy to get a nuke. I wish there would have been hardpoint in mw2, I feel like a lot of maps would have played really good with that mode

Anyone in the chat that said Rust was ass were the friends that talked a lot of shit but never won a 1v1 on Rust against their friends to back up their trash talk. They stay salty.

My take on these maps after playing every COD for 15 years(making this comment before watching any of the video) Afghan is an S because the domination spawn tubes were the best for getting nukes Estate is C tier because it was fun but whoever controlled the big house was almost certain to win Favela is an A tier because it flowed great Highrise is a B because it's iconic but the killstreaks were nearly useless because of all the cover Rust is an S because chaos soothes me Invasion is a C because it's just meh Karachi is a C for the same reason as Invasion Subase is a C for the same reason as Karachi Quarry is a D because i personally just never found much enjoyment with it but it's not terrible Skidrow can either go D or C depending on the gamemode Rundown is personally an S for me because i used to crank nukes out in FFA all the time and i have fond memories of it Scrapyard is an S because it just perfected the 3 lane design in my opinion Terminal is an S because it's terminal Underpass is a C because it really should be a D but that's the map i got my first nuke on so it gets nostalgia points,fight me Wasteland is an S cuz killstreaks were overpowered as hell there and it was very fun Derail is the only F in the game because it had no flow and was just way too big (This is the longest comment i've ever wrote because i am drunk and have a soft spot for the OG cods)

MW2 is god tier. Would love to see a multiplayer remaster!

Tbh I wouldn’t care at all if they just made it playable on Ps4 and kept every single thing the same graphics wise etc etc. Best game ever. Everyone would go back to it

Wish we can go back to the good times of MW2! They need to hurry and remaster it even though it won’t be the same but going back to these maps, the guns and everything about it is amazing

I agree with most of this except rust. It was fun on Custom Games, but it wasnt a good map. Afghan wasnt that bad either, D is a little harsh. The weakest part about MW2 was definitely the maps. The cod games with the strongest map pools are BO2 and MW3. Alot of people didnt like mw3, but u cant deny the maps were great.

I like that cold war has added alot of bops2 maps
