Here’s the problem I have with the whole thing. If the girl is 17 years and 364 days old when this occurs, she’s still a minor and that’s a problem in the eyes of the law, even if she “consents” which is obviously the case here. But the next day, all is good? Now you can’t say she’s a minor and use that as a sticking point. If she’s pushing say 15 and younger, since minimum age of consent is 16, then yes that’s very bad. People are hearing “minor” and assume the latter and don’t accept the former as a possibility. Obviously the 17yo scenario being exactly that is unlikely, but point is even a consenting 17.5 year old is a WILDLY different scenario than the latter. Especially if she started the convo, which the chances aren’t zero of that. Underage girls with daddy issues seeking out older men happens. Don’t get it twisted though. Doc is still a piece of shit for putting his wife through that. He should’ve never entertained the convo as a married man, minor or not. Also, no one seems to be focusing on the fact that Twitch agreed to NDA this when it happened during their response to the “MeToo” movement, which was to crack down on this very behavior on their platform.
