Directed by award-winning filmmaker Tom McCarthy, Disney+’s “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made,” based on the best-selling book of the same name, follows the hilarious exploits of our quirky, deadpan hero, Timmy Failure, who, along with his 1,500-pound polar bear partner Total, operates Total Failure Inc., a Portland detective agency. An elementary school oddball, the clueless but confident Timmy (Winslow Fegley) must navigate the world of adults around him, including his overburdened mother (Ophelia Lovibond), her well-meaning boyfriend (Kyle Bornheimer), his teacher/nemesis (Wallace Shawn) and a school-mandated guidance counselor (Craig Robinson), all in his quest to become the best detective in the world. Directed by Tom McCarthy, who won an Oscar® for his “Spotlight” screenplay, “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made” is written by McCarthy & Stephan Pastis based on the book by Pastis. The producers are Jim Whitaker, p.g.a., and Tom McCarthy, p.g.a., with Michael Bederman and Kate Churchill serving as executive producers. The film stars Winslow Fegley, Ophelia Lovibond, Kyle Bornheimer, Wallace Shawn and Craig Robinson.

This movie is racist to russians
as a hamster owner my first thought was "he probably died cause they keep him in that terrible tiny cage thats actually suitable for an ant"
In the book, MAX owned a hamster In the film, MAXINE kept the hamster
No one questioned the lifespan of the hamster? No? Okay

Timmy's basically been through a lot. His dad walked out on him, he had to make Total (the polar bear) to cope with his 'loss', it's a lot, it's better if you read the books.

Darth lego Vader lego no just the premise. A kid that’s heavily delusional and takes things way to seriously thinking he’s a detective. And naming the agency Total Failure... it doesn’t get much more delusional than that.

Sienna Russo I’m not saying he isn’t imaginative, but his cognitive faculties are lacking. The author probably was asked what is Timmys deal. If he mentioned it once it was probably a quick answer rather than something well thought out.

Sienna Russo that is a loose connection at best. I volunteer with autistic kids of the entire spectrum. I am not comparing Timmy to my brother but the entire diagnosis. Timmy’s got an ego plain and simple. He’s a kid that thinks private eyes are cool and wants to be one but doesn’t understand the scope of the jobs difficulty and it’s more humbling aspects. He thinks private investigators are just short of super heroes when they are anything but. I can bring my brother up in our little debate. You do not have that luxury. Remember that.
