Why do i use carotids not radial or brachial?

Carotids is actually close to heart and it's the central pulsation next to Femoral
I assumed the upstroke to correlate with S1, so is there actually a delay between the heart contraction and the upstroke?

There is technically a very slight delay. However given how close the carotid upstroke and the S1 heart sound occur in relation to each other over time, this might not be easily appreciated during physical exam.

@@medzcool im sorry to ask, but this one im still confused, i wanna ask about the pulse intensity that we palpate during this auscultation, so is the upstroke pulse is the stronger one that feels like our finger uplifted ? and is the downstroke pulse in the softer inward movement away from our fingers ? if that is so, do you mean that S1 is after the downstroke and before the carotid upstroke ?
The murmur that is heard between S1and S2 is systolic murmur not diastolic murmur.

hmm I can hear the murmur after the carotid upstroke so I think it's a diastolic murmur :)

It's not it's actually Late systolic murmur and diastolic murmur is heard btw S2 and S1 @@zakn898
You are talking to much to loud during the beats to hear the beats!!!!
