Sympathy does not necessarily equal acceptance … you’re putting words in his mouth. Because you appear to be a binary person who can only see things in black and white, here’s what’s happening … You are a human being. As such, you are capable of great things and horrible things … this is true for all of us. So stow away your phony outrage, and stop pretending that you’re somehow above it all … the man in the video rightly recognizes that the perp is probably a hurting soul, and that hurt is spilling over and hurting others. He’s right to be sad about that. Doesn’t mean the perp gets a free pass, or shouldn’t be held accountable for the hurt he is causing to others. It’s just a recognition of the human condition. If you had a family member who’s life fell apart, who went down the wrong path and eventually ended up killing someone, you would feel both outrage at the crime and sorrow/sympathy/regret/angst for the person your loved one became. Your problem is you think it’s “us” vs “them” and it never occurs to you that there is no “them.” So get off your high horse and come back to reality where the rest of us live. And stop filling in the gaps in the narrative so that it suits you …

Fuck the other options they gotta go, New York has had a big crime wave for the longest but after the borders opened the crime rate has hit sky rate, after they came over here all they are doing is showing how weak the corrupt police department is so New York citizens think the6 can disobey the police how these asylum seekers are doin so it js makes something bad and makes it worse.

Its been too hard for the non-rich to live in New York for decades now. People have been calling for systemic change to tweak cost of living for middle class & poor in different ways. There would frankly need to be decent well cared for state housing for blue collars to continue to live and work there now as it is. And even tweaks to housing costs just to have middle class accommodations. Like Starbucks coffee? Nice restaurants? Broadway? Think about how people have to live just to work in NYC and serve & entertain you. The cost of making the city a place people live again instead of just survive would be changing the way we do housing.

I left NYC after college in 2014. I’ve been back a few times and every time it makes me so sad to see my hometown and my neighborhood going through this. It’s been going down hill for years and we keep voting for it. Giuliani, for all of his faults, never let it get like this. But at this point I can only assume that this is what the people of NYC want.

I’m so glad I live in a state that follows the constitution that lets me protect myself. It’s almost makes you think. Why is homeless crime so rare in Texas and Florida and other pro constitution states even though they have large homeless populations as well? Is it because the lawbreakers know statistically there is a 1 in 2 chance their potential victim is armed? Mutually assured destruction works. I can’t believe that man at @1:14 actually said he feels terrible for the criminal. At this point, New York City is asking for this. Grow spines people defend your own and give yourself back your constitutional rights. Don’t let the tyrannical authoritarians running your state take them from you any longer. They are why you have the second amendment.

Same thing happening in Chicago. This is what happens when you don't hold anyone accountable for their actions as small as they may be. The small crimes turn into bigger crimes because the police are not allowed to do their jobs because of liberal policies put in place. Not to mention, all the illegals coming in and causing much more crime. I am all for LEGAL immigration, but what is happening at the border is not right. No vetting of anyone coming in and it's not fair to the people coming in legally and doing what they're suppose to do to enter our country. You get what you vote for.

@saltymaam2046 When Ronald Regan was in power, he give people amnesty. The Border has been a problem since the beginning and probably will aways be a problem. People naturally will want to gravitate to the riches country they can.. that is human nature. As for holding people accountable, people are arrested and jailed in NYC for petty crimes. On the other hand, it costs about $100k/yr to keep someone in jail. This has nothing to do with liberal policies (which I don't support). Conservative run cities like Oklahoma City, Miami, Jacksonville, Tulsa, Fort Worth and etc, have higher crime rates. Just for the record it isn't illegals that are the crime problem. When Guiliani was mayor crime was way more serious a problem, than now. Guiliani really cleaned up the city, but even he couldn't control crime. Just look at Trump, before he ran for president, he probably spent more time in Court than on the Golf Course. The problem is, in the USA there isn't the kind of social stigma about people who are criminals or where criminals. Trump's friend Jeffery Epstein used to prey on young women, but he still had a lot of famous friends and associates. The USA has had a love of outlaws for some time...I would even go as far to say, they outlaws are more revered then the do Gooders. Like you said "You get what you vote for"!!!
