True. I hate when people blame the education system. Now, I'm not saying it doesn't have a bearing on it and so does poor parenting, education should come from schooling AND parents. But I went to a pretty rubbish, low rated school in England, it wasn't terrible but wasn't good either. So I did what I could for myself. I went to the library. I watched documentaries to learn things. Since getting the Internet (in my late teens) I've used it to learn new things, facts, information, new skills etc and I have many hobbies and interests and see life as a constant lesson. You don't stop learning because you leave school, you don't use a bad school education as an excuse to be a stupid adult. We all have a brain and it can be fed information continuously. It's sad to me when grown adults say and do really stupid things, are too stupid to realise it and then when people call them out on it, blame their schooling. We have so much knowledge at our fingertips 24 hours a day. There's no excuse unless someone has special needs which prevent them from learning. Some people are just happy to be stupid because it's easy and seemingly lack the ability to self reflect. They always seem to be the most confident in themselves too :D the Dunning-Kreuger effect I suppose.

Even with a clock that has Roman numerals, it should still be perfectly easy to tell the time based on the position that the hands are in. Are there parts of America where no one uses analogue clocks any more? Also, the clock in the photo is at what looks like quite a large train station, so how did he fail to notice the dozens of digital clocks on all the departure boards when coming to the conclusion that the UK doesn’t have clocks with modern numbers.
