Morissette interpreted "Akin Ka Na Lang", an original song written by Francis Louis "Kiko" Salazar which was chosen as one of the 15 finalists out of more than 6,000 entries submitted since November 2013. The song did not place in the competition but was included in Morissette's eponymous debut album. It has gained popularity and was often used as a piece for singing contest. It was often requested in most radio stations and has even reached the international borders allowing foreigners to master the song (which was seen on ASAP Natin 'To) and eventually having its own direct translation in Korea, Malaysian and English.

With or without whistle, ang rendition niya lang talaga ang nagbibigay ng kilabot sakin kapag kinakanta na yung part ng "Giliw" especially yung sa Wish Music Awards. Grabe yon.

Ang ganda lang dahil the song is flexible, she can do different versions with it. Impressive rin si Miss Mowiessette dahil na eexecute niya mga ganyang changes. Also, kudos to the bands for delivering the instrumental beautifully kahit anong version pa yan. Truly, Morissette is a gifted and intelligent singer.

Lodi may isa pa syang version yung sa Venice Grand Canal. Yung pinag sama nya yung 2018 version nya na sustained sa "makikiusap na lang" and yung original nyang version nyang walang hingahan. 2019 din yun

In terms of belting po, if masyadong binibigatan ang tone, nakaka strain po, and same po yun sa whistle so parang mas okay po pag airy yung whistle... Pero baka po mas sanay lng talaga siya sa hindi airy na whistle

Did something happen to her voice po ba that made her resort to minimizing the use of her whistle register and lean more on her mixed register as a compensation sa absence ng whistle? I've noticed kasi po yung changes ng boses niya. It became somewhat thinner

Frequent yung shows niya back in 2019 po and she has little to no rest. Mabilis pong makapapagod ang whistle sa boses since disconnected po siya sa normal voice register/s 😊

Para sa kin parang nag mature po boses niya at nag focus siya sa pag improve ng low notes, chest voice, and mixed voice niya kaya ganun siguro at normal naman po ang pag babago ng boses kaya ginamit niya yun para mag improve as a singer. Regarding sa pag avoid or pag minimize niya sa pag whi whistle kasi andami niya ganap nung 2019 at early this year kaya exhausted yung boses niya at para hindi madaling mamaos hindi niya muna ginagamit yung whistle pero let's see soon baka maibalik niya yung healthy na boses niya kasi nakapag pahinga na siya ngayon although kumakanta parin naman siya pero mas nakakapagpahinga na siya unlike last year.
Is morissette stop sing whistle forever?? Pls I think that's is her point in singing skill... We want the whistle back

No Sir, just temporarily. This is to avoid hoarseness and exhaustion with her voice since the whistle register is disconnected from the other registers

Its sad to see her voice slowly deteriorating at a young age. Recently she's struggling on her own song. :(

Lol. She just need to practice and exercise her breath control. Obviously she improve a lot but her breath management was not that strong unlike in her younger years. That's why she has a problem now on sustaining long notes especially if it is upperbelts.

@@JP-vs6de sustain, you might be right, in some notes. But, hitting the notes specially upper register? 2016-2017 she rarely sustain notes above G5 but nowww danggg, she's improving, she'd been hitting not only G5 but A5 to Bb5. ❤
She sounds tired.
Dapat di na siya mag whistle kasi kapag nag whistle siya ng nag whistle baka matulad siya kay Mariah Carey na nawala yong boses niya dahil sa kaka whistle niya.
