When I first started watching the falcons, Matt ryan was the qb, and over the years he became my favorite player in the NFL

I feel bad for Matt Ryan. He did all he could to win the super bowl that year but the defense just gave up basically. I wish he would of won that year

If you think about it. A Falcons Super Bowl 51 win would be a win win for 30 of the other teams. Obviously not for the Patriots. But even for the Saints. Because it stirs up competition between the two teams, and it would have stopped Brady’s further descent to the Dark Side…well, for a year anyway. I speak to you as a diehard Falcons fan, a diehard Georgia fan, a Georgia native, and someone who’s favorite player of all time is Matt Ryan.

Ryan did all he could, except tell Kyle Shanahan to go screw himself and take over the play calling.

From a Falcons fan, very informative and good video overall! The three years in the Ryan era that stand out to me are 2012, 2016, and 2017 as missed opportunities. The 08 and 10 teams were too young, and the other teams weren’t good enough. The 2012 team was very good on both sides of the ball. They showed a lot of heart and will to win that game against Seattle after nearly completely blowing it, and controversial calls and blown plays ended up costing us against San Francisco imo, I still to this day believe we were the better team. We know what happened in 2016. The 2017 team was also very well balanced! Top 10 offense and defense in most statistics, if we found any sort of rhythm in Philly then maybe we could’ve made a run, but we didn’t. Hope Matt gets a ring in Indy.

Every team Matt Ryan lost to in the playoffs either played in or won the Superbowl that year. I think he's the only Quarterback that has ever happened to. Flat crazy

Super Bowl 51, Super Bowl 52, and Super Bowl 56 are all recent Super Bowls in which the entire country was rooting for one team. The Falcons in 51, the Eagles in 52, and Bengals in 56. Two out of three of those Super Bowls (51 and 52) involved the Patriots. Brady sure does know how to make people unite.

Could you do a video on how the Bills needed a franchise QB acter Kelly? Or could you explain the rise of the Bills, because I think that the Bills are some real superbowl contenders under Josh Allen

This vid makes me realize how great of a GM dimitroff was. Only bad drafts were 2009 and 2012. He drafted 4 pro bowlers in 2016.

Thank u so much for doing this about my favorite player ever he always deserved better but we never gave him what an Elite player deserves mainly a defense he always made our offense top 10 nothin he can do about the defense and to anyone who thinks he was only good cause of Julio Matty was top 10 in QBR 2 of his 3 years before Julio and in 2012 I believe was the year he was 6 even with Julio only playing 5 games and in that year Matty made a 1000 yard receiver out of HARRY DOUGLAS so he’s fine without Julio enjoy Indy Matty u are our best player ever

Eli Manning May get in the hall of fame because in his two Super Bowl runs, his defense gave up more than 20 one time. Matt Ryan played great in SB 51, but he lost a SB where the Pats scored 34.

@@JustFootball Yeah I heard that but I was thinking you may have meant QB. A lot of people would say Julio is better overall. He's not and never was but that's just the narrative around Ryan. Every success he had is due to the team around him and every failure was his fault. He bailed us out of 28-3 only for the coaches to have a stroke and not kick the FG then gets blamed for choking somehow. Edit: To be fair to Julio it was him and Ryan that bailed us out with that ridiculous sideline toe tap late in the 4th. SHOULD be known as the greatest play in Falcons history but now no one remembers it cause Shanahan traded a ring for a QB. I'm kidding with that last bit... kinda. I wouldn't be shocked to find out that's true.

Class act and a bit underrated.

As a Falcon fan, Thomas Dimitroff really ran this team into the ground. he did real good his first 5-6 years here, but outside the 2016 draft, it was nothing but bad contracts and bad drafting.

His last year they didnt design plays for him to get the ball and he still put up numbers. 43 receptions 500 yards . like one of the least amount of targets in his career even though he was open

This is pretty ignorant. Roddy White was on the verge of being considered a draft bust until Ryan came to Atlanta. Tony Gonzalez was a historic talent for sure, but he was older when he joined than Falcons than Julio Jones is right now. Julio who, while obviously great, didn't do anything with the Titans last year, nor does anyone even want him right now. As much as he would make the circus catch, he would randomly drop gimme passes and take himself out of the game at crucial moments. The Falcons had 5, maybe 6 seasons with a top 16 running game, 1 or 2 with a top 16 o-line, and MAYBE 1 season with a top 16 defense (all the others bottom 10 I believe) in Matt's 14 years and he's the one that got carried? What use is a good receiving corp when your line can't stop pass rushers, your running game can't pick up 1 yard when it needs to, and your defense can't stop anyone? He def played with some good to great players here and there in his career, but he elevated them as much as they did him.

Look at tom brady, who has almost never not had a top 10 defense. Everyone thinks a great QB needs all these weapons and support on offense, but I honestly beleive a Qb would rather have a top 10 or 5 defense consistently.

Amazing video where you went in unbiasedly and paid respect to Matty ice 🧊 only problems with the video is that you only show 3 most impactful players for each year at offense and defense if there was like one or 2 more for the offense at times video would’ve been alot better but still elite video.
