A customer asked me to carve Ragnar Lothbrok from the show "The Vikings". Capturing likeness in my carving is a skill that I am constantly working on. I don't think I captured Ragnar perfectly, but I am really happy with the way it came out. No narration, no bad jokes...just me carving sped up 30x. It was fun putting this together because it shows how I do not concentrate on one area for too long as I am carving. I like to constantly shape the face as I am carving so I don't get hung up on one specific area. I'll circle back and refine details as I carve. This not only helps the carving process move along quicker, but it helps the carving come together more cohesively. Let me know what you think in the comments!
