I've seen 08 plate Fiat 500s rustier than that! Another great video Neil !
Just restored an S 1998 20vt for a friend of mine. Been off the road for 15yrs. They where some car in their time.
Greetings from sunny Australia and I admire your persistence with the Coupe (Coo-pay) subframe. Cheers.
Goodness - I've worked on a few cars in the UK and seen a few rusty ones - but this Fiat looks like its been in the English Channel!

10 year old Toyota just as bad
Lovely Jubbly, why bother watching to give it a thumbs down, you know what its about Alfa/Fiat cars.
Ooooh, The Coupe! My favorite. Not because it is a Fiat but because it is such a great car. It would still be a great car if it was called a LADA!
Looks like it's coming along nicely with this. Great to see the coupe back on the channel 😁
Good to see this Bangle design car being saved.
The ABS sensors are really rare & can't be found new, so you need to save them. Keep up the good work!

I wonder if it's possible to fab up replacements?
Nice video. This is a car that is worth to refurbish what needs refubushing. I just love this car. It is one of my dream cars. I am surprised how similar all those parts are to the mk1 Puntos.
Man, that was a chew. And all those snapped studs to drill and rethread. Got to love the UK.

Excellent I think the exhaust is spent would be nice with a s/s exhaust; but not my money . Excellent as always.😎
ABS Sensors are not availible anywhere new anymore...managed to get 2 from italy...The brake heat shields are availible from John Snijders from Holland, just contact him via Facebook

Good job
I have a 1995 16v turbo coupe and it has absolutely no rust. Always stored in the garage. Has this coupe been in a lake for many years? Strange that it is so rusty!
Hi, please tell me ists possible convert ir to rear whel traction? What car its donor fit for this mod?
Rear brake backing plates have been remanufactured by the fiat coupe club and joe at F.c.s.s coupe specialist.as fiat stopped making them. I have some on my coupe around £60 for the pair if i remember correctly.

Hi you can email me at italiaautoparts@sky.com. Thanks
did you finish the 147 gta engine?
Getting a new spring for the brake compensator might be an issue
That's what I hate about most country's who put salt on roads to melt snow and ice because we are living in 2020 and will be 2021 soon and still didn't find another methods of melting snow on roads without getting our cars rust back to the ground

Hi mate, how do you press the bushings back in the subframe, had a nightmare finding someone to do it last time and the engineer who did it said it was difficult to find a way to do it creating the right diameter tubing etc? Any tips?
@ItaliaAutos

Bearing press. Any other way is very hard.

Thanks for the reply Neil, love your work and your gung-ho attitude to getting it done. Yeah definitely, just found it very difficult to get the right diameter pieces to use in the press, don't suppose you know anything specific that works or do you just have unknown pieces that you've gathered from bearings etc over time?@@ItaliaAutos
👍
What do you think of selespeed gearbox on alfa and fiat, most of the punto evo or alfa gt? Thank advance. Sorry for my English 😅😅

Try loosen all those bolts on a Volvo of the same year... They’d all snap. Bought my Fiat Coupe in 2002 and oilwaxed sills, floor, inner doors etc. Before my garage fire 2014 it was still rustfree. Never drove it in the winter salty-slush tho (who does).
@markkarm9253

True. That did happen a few times on my Volvo v70. It was 15 years old and completely rust free though.

I have a turbo 16 coupe from 1995 that has always been kept in a garage and has absolutely no rust. It is probably the English humidity that causes this. Even in people !!!
@markkarm9253

@@ginobona7380 Indeed it is.
how many miles does this fiat coupé have?
