I think Pug knows exactly what he's doing. He picks the biggest goof he can find lets them fuck the job up then sues them to pay for a good job basically for free. Large general contracting company's use this same method with small subs. Eather that or pugs a total goof. Beg my pard.

When I worked construction we always cleaned up after ourselves. These guys need to find another line of work. They sure don't deserve to be paid for shabby work like that.

The whole building looks like shit bud. The new roof matches perfectly...the roof dicks did a great job of blending the new with the old nicely. Now use the old roofing material to side the outside walls and it will look really nice. That is how you make a silk purse out of a sows ear. ffs

I am a professional roofer for a living, this job is a nightmare. And for them to call themselves roofer's, that's a disgrace..This is what happens when you hire meth heads to do a roofing job. They have one thing on their mind, and one thing only, the payday once it's finished. They could care less about the overall quality and if it was done properly. Be careful next time Pug!

It's been hit and miss lately with the trades pug1 hires. Lock dick for little dirty was super cool, as were the roll up door dicks, and the second drywall dicks (the awesome Cubans who fixed the other goof's shit). Can't win em all I guess, especially when you gamble on cheaping out. Go with the low quote and sometimes you get an awesome professional who's just efficient and passes the value on to you, but realistically you mostly end up with goofs like these.

There's rake edging that should be installed. There should be butyl tape under it. That closure is for the eave edging, not the rakes. That is not the proper sealant for metal roofing. Sorry, but my advice is to have it redone. You may be able to salvage some of it.

NONE of what you saw or no roofs made with metal are "Roofing" or done by "Roofers". 95% of metal roofs are worked on & completed by Roofers. Why, ?, you ask. Roofers are required to be licensed in some states nor reqd to take an apprenticeship. Hence SMW's make $35 in the envelope to the roofers $20 envelope.

Usually metal roofing includes angled trim pieces for the sides and bottom, plus the ridge cap. I don't see any of that in the video! Judging by the way the metal is screwed down, odds are it will leak and feel like rain inside! This is another case of Pug1 getting screwed over.

I have done hundreds of metal buildings and roofs. Not one contractor or homeowner would pay me for that mess they have made. There are not even enough screws in each sheet to meet wind code in my old home state of Michigan. Some blue chalk and make your screws at least line up ffs. I would have quit and fired them with the reuse of the boot and storm collar on the vent for your furnace yesterday. Let the court decide.

Pug had a written estimate. I think the guy got butt hurt over not supplying the materials right from the beginning. It was a 5 day job for 3 men to do properly. The 4" gable end fascia boards should have been knocked off and swapped to 6" so proper trim could have been used. The foam would not have been needed on the gable ends. Cost of materials would have been just slightly higher. So a lead man 30$ per hour x 40 = 1200$ 2 do what their told dicks 22.50 x 80 = 1800$ Thats a fair estimate for this job done properly supplying all your own tools.

Also part of the job was removing the old sheeting without damage. That takes and eats up time. They frigged it up and it took them 3-4 days.

I've never heard that term, but thought the same when materials were delivered, where's the gable? Can easily still be installed, cut that shit off they did to the cap, trim the edge, install gable to cover the hundred screws they put in the edge by house. Ha ha Hard parts done, 30 minutes to cut and install gable make a world of difference.
