Try and make the car a positive place. It'll take time and be a lot of work. Sit in the back of the car with Nala while you have a "tea break" or work etc. Give her lots of treats. You can even feed her in the back but you have to sit next to her. Start with the door open. When she is relaxed you can do the same with the door closed. Then you can repeat it while your are in the backseat and last but not least while you are in the front seat and engine running. Take her on really small trips. Make sure to praise her and give her treats when she is relaxed. A cage can maybe help her relaxe as long as she gets a chance to get use to it.

I'm the same way, I function so much better with a plan to follow, though somehow the workouts just don't get done :/ I need to remind myself of my 'why' for working out. My 'why' for working is so strong so I just work all the time, but i can't enjoy the why if I'm not fit enough to do it! (the why is horses of course! lol) Love your channel Em! I don't comment enough but I watch all your videos and absolutely ADORE you and your ponies!

An idea for the boards to frame the arena are PVC/plumbing pipes. Cheap! Hubby made poles out of them for our cavaletti jumps for Emma.

We don’t have clotted cream in the States😢. I’ve never tried it! Addie looks lovely. I had Hello Fresh for dinner and it makes me feel like I know how to cook! You’ve inspired me to work out a bit tonight. I love to read but I’ve been a lazy person and am listening to Spare (narrated by Harry himself) I find audiobooks are wonderful. I get to hear his British accent! And I can do other things while listening. Driving, gardening or simply relaxing. Something to think about on those long event drives! I do listen to podcasts too!

Sprite must have not only received invitation to garden tea party which turned into an all night rave😂 hope she heals quickly and can’t wait to see her day in the life vlog. Happy Birthday mom 🎉 lovely walk together. Addie check up 👏👏 probably prefer to not get that tail smack. Eye stinger😮 lovely garden… tomatoes made it to lunch plate… used to catch kids in garden with salt shakers and red stained white T-shirts. Ate before made it to table. Best birthday gifts I got were wrapped in feed bag and tied with twine… it’s the thought not the gift or how it looks delivered 🧡

Have you tried making the car a game - if she likes a ball play fetch and throw the ball in so she is choosing it etc. could also try diff positions in the car. One of my dogs will only travel wel in the boot and the other prefers the back seat given a choice (both in cages)

Greek yoghurt with crumble is the best! On structure, the past couple of weekends I’ve started preparing a 4-goal lesson plan in advance and then journaling how it went later in the day and found it’s made a massive difference super early obviously) on having a purposeful lesson and refining specific things like contact or halt without the hand aide and so on.

With your beautiful pup not liking car journeys, You need to make her ride in the car a pleasant experience, In some of your videos I've noticed her sat in the foot well ..can you put a seat belt on her & let her ride on the back seat? Does she get travel sickness? When you have time give her a small feed in the car so she sees getting in the car a nice thing, once she's happy getting in the car & sitting in it, take her on a small drive ..if done this way she should start to settle, you can get calming spray / drops to use to settle her, it's really about giving her time in the car a pleasurable experience slowly slowly is the way ... My three dogs don't like the car travel much, I found with my two older dogs I crate them when traveling them, & that keeps them calm, my youngster I'm working on ... I hope this gives you some idea as to where to start helping your baby gal X much love to you both

The best time-keeping advice I've learned through trial and error: 📋 Write a Weekly To-Do List ↓ 📈 Prioritise The Weekly List (most important / urgent things at the top of the list) ↓ ⏰ Turn the Weekly List into Daily Time-Blocks ↓ 🔲 Time-Block important things (including time-off, appointments, self-care etc) first into the Week and treat them as immovable. I Time-Block a week at a time - some blocks are flexible, others not. ↓ 🚫 Set a ____ budget (and keep it). Eg, set an Exercise Budget to do 4 workouts a week. ↓ 📆 Do a Weekly Planning & Review Session every week to plan, celebrate what you've achieved and have a longer-range, birds-eye view of strategic planning. ↓ 🎉Celebrate with a wine / chocolate etc Time-Blocking has been an absolute game-changer for me. To-Do Lists aren't as helpful for the nitty gritty things. Develop a planning habit - same time & place for consistency.

Dressage Arena Markers: Gave some thought on this. Yes, agree with laminating the alphabetical markers. However, I've noticed that when folks have posted on street signs lost or found pets over time & especially with rain they bleed. Just another inexpensive idea needing the use of a table saw. Get some plywood cut to size and attach to some wooden 6" stakes the types you would use for instance to mark fence boundaries etc. Then just draw on the signs the letters with a permanent magic marker. They might fade over time, but you can always re-apply. The wood over time might rot, (normally in a year). Also hope your soil is soft to place them in the ground? Again, just an idea. Your Mum's Garden looks beautiful. Finally, I'd have crumble with ice-cream (vanilla).

My spaniel loves going places and most of the time leaps in but will then randomly also hide under the car and not get in. There is a squeak in my sunroof and sometime a bit if a rattle and I wonder if this worries him. With regards to hello fresh, I have just had my second box through Tina’s code. Please please tell them to make their packaging more recyclable. There is so much waste especially the cool padding and individual sachets.

No tips on getting Nala used to the car. My 14 month old English Springer Spaniel hates it along with my 9 & half year old Golden Retriever. It didn't help either with Emma (E.S.S.) being spayed back in April. When it does cool here, I'd like to take them to Montpelier. They do Hunt/Steeplechase races there the first Saturday of November. A bit of a drive (40 mins) but a lovely venue with lots of trails. We will, see? Treats and love just don't cut the mustard. Total bummer!

In regards to Nala and your car - I highly doubt she dislikes the car, she probably just doesn’t find getting into it very fun. Try to make a game out of it every time she gets in - hide some biscuits or treats in the seats and on the floor (wherever she normally rides) for her to find as soon as she get in, or make a game of throwing her favourite toy in the car and if she’s big enough to jump in and retrieve it for you. It will make her much more excited to jump in as she will associate the car with treats and games.
