I have enjoyed Time Team from the start and now as a Patreon Director I have already outlived what the doctors gave me by 3 months. I am determined to last to see the new episodes if I can but in any case I wish you all best wishes and continued success for many years to come.

@@userunknownx Or make the outer ring of the logo a rainbow ring (or add a second outer rainbow ring). The subtle change could represent the layers of archaeology and evolution of the show, while paying homage to such an important part of it all. The logo has already evolved a bit over time so it wouldn’t be out of line, IMHO. 🌈✨

Don't be shy with the runtimes of the new episodes! I would be happy to see 3hr+ episodes!

From across the pond in the colonies, I stumbled on Time Team a few years after it had gone off the air...I was astounded at the quality of the work and the concept of taking archaeology out of the Universities to communities and everyday folks. Just amazing. I watched every side episode and many more than once. Mick's work was historical in its own right. American's are envious that you are also able now to reprise Time Team and re-launch it even better...When you Listen to Tim you can hear the vision and creativity at work...we never got to see that before and appreciate how big a role he played in what we saw in each episode...I would enjoy a more detailed "The Making of Time Team" at some point...takes us behind the camera and let us socialize with the key players. Congrats on a masterful contribution to the arts and sciences....

I love the fact that you honored Prof. Aston by naming the field vehicle, the "MickMobile"!

IN the 1960s, I often stayed with a couple of friends living in Edgbaston (Birmingham). They were doing Post-graduate studies and we often spent time in the Post-grad Common Room, where we often encountered a guy called Mick Aston! Years later, watching 'Time Team', I realised that I knew who he was!! Really glad that his career blossomed and he became a popular and well-known character!

I grew up watching time team re-runs on my grandparents TV, and to discover that I can watch full episodes on KZread has been really special. Thank you for bringing this channel to life, I’ve never subscribed faster!

I currently can't manage Patreon, But, I have subscribed, and then I watch the ads in the hopes that some monetary benefits flow to the Time Team...it might be only a couple of pennies/cents etc, but it's something, and if a lot do it, it adds up...in my mind anyway I am also keeping an eye out for one off small donation opportunities I am just so grateful to those able to be Patreons, as well as the huge Time Team past and present

God bless you Tim Taylor and all those that are on Time team, though I miss Dr. Phil Harding. I have made sure to keep up and support all your work, and Look forward to this coming new year when Time Team will once more be in full swing of the digs, and finding out new things, more information and more burials and ancient structures still left in the ground for all of us to learn from. I have been watching ALL the old shows, and have a note book full of history from each site. Have a bit of a problem with seasons 1 -4 though, in that I can not find ALL the episodes for the first 4 seasons, and hoping you will continue to release those for me to watch. Being a family genealogy researcher for the past 28 yrs now, I am learning bits and pieces of my own family history, on the Cantrell' Chantrelle/ Cantril side as well as on the Miller/Muller sides of my family, and what some of my ancestors back there over the pond did and how they lived, before ancestors came here to America, and settled in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania and then later generations migrating to other places.... Will you be releasing more episodes form seasons 1-4??

It's absolutely brilliant that Time Team is working with the National Trust. Especially on a place as iconic and important as Sutton Hoo. Perhaps something to consider for the future: anyone who is interested in British history and archaeology will immediately recognize the name Sutton Hoo, but very few have ever had the chance to go there, resulting in a limited understanding of the site and it's context. It would be wonderful to have an in-depth view of just what Sutton Hoo is. Besides Mound 1, what else is there? What other discoveries have been made? What hasn't been explored? I think viewers would enjoy a deeper dive into just what Sutton Hoo really is, and how much more than Mound 1 is actually there.

I've loved Time Team from the beginning, was sad when it finished and am excited and honoured to be part of its rebirth by a small Patreon donation (by sacrificing a cup of coffee each week). I love how KZread and Patreon have enabled the fans to become a part of the show)

Oh my goodness!! Wow!! wow!! wow!! This is all too exciting!! What a fantastic look in to the Sutton Hoo project and the future happenings in 2022 and just all of it!! Fabulous too having those two million viewers!!😮 and I am one of them haha.

Just one more thing...it took me months to see every episode - what took Brits 20 years to experience back then and, I dare say, form an attachment "to this lot." The sad part was "living" through the passing of several truly remarkable Professors who gave the program a great texture...yet it was a shock to hear of it...such intellects and knowledge lost...then it was Mick's turn...appreciate every spade guys and each sunrise. Tim...do a "making of" series or masterclass to teach others how its done to follow you...that is when you get done with another 100 episodes or so...

Watched Time Team for ages, best archeology show ever, SO happy it's been brought back with so many familiar faces. Congrats Tim, you have kept the dream alive, and with the "Mickmobile" our beloved professor lives on in a way.

..when I wasn’t really sure was an unwelcome thought and I can’t wait to see the full results. I would be willing to sit thru much more than three hours of either shoot. Time Team was a godsend for me here in the US during Covid. It’s still the best viewing on the screens as far as I’m concerned. Keep it up and I’ll keep supporting through Patreon.

Watching time team did so much to take my mind off my cancer treatments in 2015-16. I am very much looking forward to the new episodes. Will miss Mick's partaking of the show but know he will be there looking down.

Looking forward to seeing what data comes out of Sutton Hoo site and surrounds next year. I am so pleased that New Zealand companies are doing their bit for Time Team and only wish we could do more from all the way down here on the tech front. Time Team is the most iconic show of its type and I only hope that it gets some big companies along with production companies supporting it with funding and production, it deserves nothing less.

WOW Time Team is back , has it really been that long since my favourite programme went off air , the very reason i ever became interested in our ancient past , excited and really looking forward to the new episodes , i live in a small village with an old abbey site sitting in the middle of a field right in the middle , the line of the walls is clearly visible .as far as i'm aware the site has never been looked at , and this is situated in the middle of a large Roman settlement that covers a large part of the village that has never been fully excavated , a perfect place for a new Time Team dig ..

Yikes! I am astounded by the size of the team that it takes to put on Time Team. I never in a million years expected so many people to be involved. Looking forward to 2022 and the great content you have planned.

i would love to see a tribute episode, with some of the finer moments and some memories of people from the old show that are no longer with us. as well as some reminiscing from those who are still with us but wont be involved in the new episodes, be it from aging or health etc... would just love to see everybody one last time and let them know that a new generation respects the wonderful show they created.

They have set up a thing on the patreon site where you can buy them a single coffee, (by subscribing 2.50 and then cancelling after).

Beside myself with excitement! Also love the additional material put out on this channel, at a time when historical and archaeological content on terrestrial tv seems to be almost absent or at best dumbed down, you guys have the monopoly!

Definitely excited to see what is happening. Can’t wait for the first new episode.

I grew up watching time team with my grandparents who were part of an archaeological society. I almost became a forensic archaeologist thanks to you guys but life had other plans. I'm currently living in the USA and I'm excited y'all are returning because I've missed this show so much.

ive been an avid follower for the past 7 years usually at 3am on a work night but hey its so interesting you cant just stop halfway into an episode😎🇦🇺🙏

I would so love to see this show exported. Imagine a series coming from Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Greece or anywhere else in Europe for that matter. Produced by "arte", who know their way around documentaries. I learned so much about british history with just this Programme - imagine what stories would come out of the soil across the channel!

I'm looking forward to returning to Sutton Hoo in the 'company' of Time Team ..... I was there in 1967 , up to my elbows in plaster-of-Paris , helping to cast the ship .... what a challenge that was .

So glad to hear all the ideas, to bring the newest knowledge to the people. In the 'old Time Team' was the enthousiasm to try new science methods a great (and sometimes very amusing) part of the digs: John with his ground radar apparatuses... But they never let the taking action with new technology down. I am looking forward to seeing how the new technology of 'now' will be tested, fall down and come upright greater and better: there is no failure, just learning curves!

People are hungry for real, well presented archeology, history and investigative documentaries like yours. There is so much rubbish around on youtube/tv that quality posts are a godsend. Thank you for coming back for us viewers

My husband took me to Sutton Hoo many years ago and I so enjoyed just being there, it will be wonderful to see what the site is like now but sadly I am now in a wheelchair and cant get to the site anymore. I am so thrilled that a replica of the ship is being made, to see that on the river would be amazing and I loved the video about it and look forward to seeing more. I'm not very good with new technology but I am interested in the features that will happen in the future. It does seem that Time Team is following the path of successful charities. I'm always amazed how much money becomes available when even seemingly obscure charities start up. Hopefully TimeTeam can be as useful as CPRE and Heritage England but retain their independence.

And thank you Time Team one and all for managing to create new Time Team segments even these days … all things considered, that’s quite an accomplishment! I’m glad to know TT is branching out into new collaborations!

I am so happy that the National Trust is having TT investigate Sutton Hoo. . .maybe there are other jobs they want done to help support TT and find and preserve the heritage we share.

What was great about the original was that many dogs happened because ordinary people wrote in to request Time Team to come and investigate some local site. Also the creativity of the Series regulars in involving the locals in the process.

I had no idea you were back!!! I've been re-watching the original Time Team for years :-p

This is great news, that Time Team is filming new episodes and we'll start seeing them soon! As an American, I didn't grow up with the show (or any archaeology shows, unfortunately), but finding it here on KZread and getting to watch the discoveries as they're made has been wonderful. I would particularly like to see the team doing more digs in Scotland and maybe Ireland to pursue more knowledge about the pre-Roman peoples of those, where we don't know nearly as much as we do about Iron Age and Bronze Age England. Time Team could be the ones to finally fill in some of the big gaps in knowledge about the Picts, if we're fortunate. And this idea wouldn't do me any good because I'm broke, but maybe consider opening up a spot or two at each dig through bidding, to help financially support the show and the work and give fans a way to participate directly. I still remember the couple of days I got to take part in a dig 40 years ago, and I'm sure others would love to get the chance.

Thank you Time Team for helping keep my interest in archaeology alive when getting my degree in anthropology with a focus in archaeology has been extremely difficult these last few years. I hope to someday be part of a similar program in the US (maybe even an international Tine Team segment?!). ❤️

My favorite show Ive been watching this for years so Im glad its back!!

Time team is full of fond memories from when I first watched it back in the early 90s. I hope Phil and Tony are both doing well. I always had an interest in history and who we were/are.

So sad that Mick is not around to see this relaunch. Ive been a TimeTeam fan for decades, and am thrilled that the relaunch is being attempted. I hope you will take the comments below as constructive criticism, from someone who badly wants to see Time Team grow and prosper. I love the fact that you released restored/digitalized versions of the old episodes, though it would be nice if you could sort out the way your video channel (or alternatively, the website) is organised so that it is easier to locate each season and episode. Even back in the "old days", many people were frustrated by the fact that the three-day format made it hard to find out the full story of a site, and I often wrote, asking the people who ran the old website to devote a little time to writing a "follow-up synopsis" of later archaeology work at the site. This should not be difficult to do, provided the information is available. I know many people (including myself) would gladly volunteer to do web-design, mapping, graphics and write-up sort of work to support a website like that. Now that you are relaunching on an online platform, I think this is an even bigger issue. I hope this is something that you are addressing, and really look forward to seeing how you utilize the capabilities of online media to complement the video programmes themselves. Finally, Im sure that I am not the only person with lingering concerns about the format. I always understood the reasons to have a non-specialist like Tony as the presenter, and the original format worked very well, in explaining things to the average viewer while not "dumbing down" the archaeological content. But when they added a second "announcer" and started doing all sorts of silly "performance-art" things instead of the basic activities of a dig, it really spoiled the programme. I know that Mick and Phil had bad things to say about the format change as well. For this reason Im a bit worried about the way you describe the "new team". If youre simply trying to be politically correct by including a woman, then FOR GODS SAKE, why wouldn't you just hire someone like TT alum Alice Roberts or the likes of Lucy Worsley, Maryann Ochota, etc etc. Heck, Ive seen Naomi Sewpaul speak in public ... she would be just fine as an MC (plus she would understand what she was discussing) so why would you need another? In other words, hire a woman who actually can contribute to the show！ The same goes for the main presenter, for that matter. I know it will be tough to fill Tony's shoes but if we get another nattering "MC" like the woman they added in Season (?) 15 (? iirc), I can foresee a lot of criticism and disappointment. The reason why TimeTeam succeeded in its original format was that people are INTERESTED IN HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY. There's no need to "package" it. Just stick to the format that worked in the first place.

What an amazing job you all have done! My hat is well and truly off to all of you!
