There may be a lot of good vocalists in Kpop but man when Kim Taeyeon sings such songs like this, emotions will pour out. No one can ever sing soulfully and emotionally like Taeyeon.

가성 아닌 진성으로고음낼때 태연 특유의 락발라드스러운 저런창법 넘나애정함..쨍하게 공기를 일직선으로 가르는듯한 저 음색.. 넬과태연의조합은 진짜 길이 남을 레전드.

역주행해도 전혀 이상할 것 같지 않은 곡 ㅠㅠㅠ

뒤늦게 이노래 엄청 꽂힌 1인.. 가사가 너무 좋음... 태연목소리 이렇게 좋은줄 이번에 처음 앎.. 항상 시작과 끝은 달라도 너무 다르다 이부분 넘나 좋아요.

You should know that the composer and singer of 'time spent walking through memories' gave this song to Taeyeon because he admitted that Taeyeon's vocal is on a whole different level after listening her cover of 'time spent walking through memories' and he wanted her to sing his song

What I love about this song is Taeyeon seems to hold back her voice in the first 2 verses, and at 2:38 "I'm erasing all of it", her emotions just burst out and it makes me want to cry T_T

honestly I'm still bitter that "my voice" didn't get as much recognition as "palette". all the tracks were top tier and very diverse it was the best solo album in 2017 and deserved those daesangs. i really hope purpose will get justice this time

I love both IU and Taeyeon, this is my favorite Taeyeon album and has so many great songs, but Palette deserved the awards more. It was cohesive, well constructed, and had a purpose. Palette was about the different colors of IU, about her getting to know herself more, a bit sensual, a bit melancholic, a bit funny, and talked a bit about the way she went through until today. My Voice was supposed to be about Taeyeon finding her voice.... but besides Feel So Fine, there's only love/break up songs, so what is that voice she wanted to talk about? Don't get me wrong, all the songs in the album are good, but they don't show the message I think it should've, which is why it didn't win best solo album.

I’m not gonna lie, this song always gets me nuts. Everything related to this song is incredibly perfect. And that’s why I come back to this all the time. Just to recall my old feelings and memories which are exactly the same as those in lyrics. Nobody will probably see my comment or knows who I really am so I’m not afraid to admit that I’m still struggling with all the ex things. Moving on is absolutely necessary but a part of me is dying to drive down a dead end street.

Besides 'Fine' this song has to be my favorite from My Voice. Taeyeon is Queen, there is no doubt. Also, Time Lapse would be a perfect addition to the soundtrack of the anime movie 'Your Name'.

im amazed by how the producers of this song really got the "time lapse" vibe. the melody and lyrics are so beautiful and taeyeon's voice just made it even more perfect

taeyeon said that there are few songs that make her want to cry everytime she listens/sings it, and those are time lapse and fine and i can truly understand why

예전에 이 노래 듣다가 가슴이 너무 답답하고 먹먹해져서 안들었었는데 요즘은 다시 계속 듣고 있는중;; 아직도 이노래만 들으면 너무 슬프다 ㅠㅠ 그만큼 노래에 감정이 많이 실려서겠지?

Theres something about the way she sings the chorus of this song.. i can hear the sadness, pain, listlessness, and longing in her voice so clearly. With taeyeon, i can understand the emotion behind the song without looking up the lyrics. Def my fave kpop solo artist.

I think this is my favorite from the album. I always feel that Taeyeon's voice is really suitable for music with more instrumental sounds. Its why "I" is still my favorite title track so far. Hoping she'd do a heavy rock song sometime!

I'm gonna cry. This song... the whole album made me feel sooo anxious. I know that this is a good song (in the end she gave her heart a second chance) but there's so many painful things that make me feel like "I'm gonna punch that bastard who made her like this". But after all she didn't write this one which is kinda confusing, because there's a hole with personal feelings in her voice when she sings that lyrics... Oh my gosh... It got me as hell...

T Kruczek she always does sing from the heart, it would made you think she experienced each of these heartbreaking stories written within the song. Taeyeon's caliber is really quite rare in the music industry. I'm so happy I've lived the same generation as hers.

Taeyeon chose the songs herself. You can feel a song without having to had written it. There are countless people in this world who think "wow this song describes me so well" and relate to it well even without having to have written it. There are composers out there who pour their emotions into writing a song, but aren't the greatest singers. That's why they rely on singers who can pour in emotions to their songs.

Seul_Ki By telling that she isn't an author of lyrics I didn't mean anything bad or harmful. Of course I know that big emotions can be hidden in anything and that's why the song made me feel agitated even more :) Confusing was part that "Time Lapse" (and "Fine", because that one also made my skin shivered) although was not written by Tay, sounds like her own feeling/memory/etc. - you know... something that was strictly based on her private experiences.

i got you.. i understand..listen to taeyeon song has the magic to feel the emotion that u need to feel. is her power.. we dont need to care whether she experienced any.. but her voice is a magic..full of emotion. even when she was young she sang and ost song name "i love you" already break my heart a lot of time..

i don’t know why but every time i hear this song , my heart just hurts so bad , it feels like it’s breaking and tears just slowly drop from my eyes . Her voice really shows you the emotion of the song

I cannot believe how amazing this song is and how talented Taeyeon is. Reading the lyrics I couldn't help but cry relating the same feelings of my first break up its like I watched a montage of my own emotional pain while listening and reading the lyrics. This is truly an underrated song and it deserves so much more!!

Taeyeon should release this as a title or a single and she would fking definitely get a PAK AND IT WOULD STAY ON CHART LIKE FOREVER

Time Lapse 계속 듣고 있어요 ㅠㅠ 들어도들어도 너무 좋은듯 ㅠㅠ 어떻게 계속들어도 안질리는지

There are countless best vocalists in the world. There are numerous singers who have better techniques or better voice than her. But there will never be a singer who sings like they went through 7 divorces. Taeyeon delivers her emotions so well and I can feel it with my whole body. It’s like a fairy telling her sad stories and these sad stories are becoming yours. Without knowing the meaning of her words, you will carefully listen to her raw voices through loud instruments, finally it touches you and you become to feel like the one who just signs divorce paper. For eg, Adele makes me sad but I never feel sadness in her voice.(my opinion). Taeyeon is like a hurting person who is telling you to listen to her pain, emotions and feelings. And you are just like third person, watching her through window and can’t do nothing but wondering how the hell is she feeling that pain.

Sounds straight from Separation Anxiety but with a little extra dance pop flair thrown in for Taeyeon. Jongwan did a good job with this one.

3 years later I still sob to this song, even though I've never been in a relationship. That's how powerful Taeyeon emotes through her vocals and these beautiful lyrics. Also, the instrumental is amazing, I love the way it changes "ajikdo neoui geu ireumeul...", makes it so much more powerful.

2 years after this was released, it's still my favourite song. The only song I never get tired listening to even though this song is only making me more depressed. It does not only apply to bf/gf break-ups but it's also about missing the people that were once part of your life. In my case, basically everyone who I care for. I didn't even realize I lost them until now.

Jeez, this is just splendid!!! So many of Taeyeon's songs maximize her phenomenal vocal skills. She just blows me away!!!

Though i dont love you like before, all memories are still there, and you appearance on the old days still make me cry whenever it's reminded. You said i could find someone better like you found your gf. All the pain became scar. And i dont want to have more scars, dont want to be hurted. Do you know i still felt painful when i remembered about how you treated me :) ?Not because i still love you (my love was end), it because i felt sorry to myself in the past.

i discovered this song way back then when I was still too innocent to even understand how painful a break up is but still, even then, it already hurts to even think about the meaning of the song. Now that I’m finally a little bit grown, and finally got to experience a painful heartbreak, I keep coming back to this song. Just because it feels like the song describes my feelings so much. I can relate to the song a lot now. It really describes the feeling of losing someone who was a huge part of your world and now that they’re gone, you just feel so lost that you just can’t help but cry because you keep trying to forget them because your heart won’t do the same. You try to live on and do you best to just ignore the little things that reminds you of them but still in the darkest hours, the happy memories keeps coming back and you realize, you keep coming back to the version of them that you loved so much but now you’re in a reality that everything has changed, including them.

the first time i heard this, i thought this was TY's cover of Nell's song (just like Time Spent Walking Through Memories) but it turned out to be a song written by Kim Jongwan himself, no wonder. wow. my favorite band and solo singer in one amazing song, couldnt ask for more 😊

It's already 2020 and this song still making me cry. 😭

classic kim jong wan style it's an epic experience that really hits you towards the second half of the song. its like im having an out of body experience

very underrated, love the instrumental. definitely my favourite song to listen to after a full day shift at work, alone, on the train, on my way home.

This is a really good song on the first album

This song reminds me of my first relationship. I first fell in love with this kid I met when I was 15, and my feelings were so immense and out of this world. We started off as good friends, and over time we developed feelings for each other. He first told me he loved me on the balcony of my friend's house during a bumbling birthday party, with the moonlight shining over his face and highlighting all his eyes and his curly hair. I remember exactly how he looked when that happened, and I knew for sure I already fell in love with him at that moment. We ended on good terms when we broke up after nine months, but over time it took over my emotional health because of the way we both immaturely handled our breakup. It was hard getting over him, as I tend to be nostalgic and my brain just assigned every place we visited with a memory of us. I cut off ties with him five months after breakup but I still couldn't seem to completely forget him. He disappeared from my life, and it has been almost three years since I have properly talked to him. During those three years, I got into a year long relationship, and during that time I have forgotten about him and remained loyal to my partner at that time. Despite that, my heart still remembered him from time to time, and I would see him from afar from time to time. And sometimes I would revisit the playlist he gave me and cry myself to sleep. This song perfectly encapsulates all the unresolved feelings I had for him. I kept thinking if my heart was still reaching out to him, or maybe if we just ended in good terms none of these feelings would still remain. But whenever anyone mentions his name, my heart swells and the pain kicks back in. When I get to see him, I remember him in the exact spot where he told me he loved me, and I remember our first kiss and our last dance together. I forgot most of what we did together, but my heart still remembers the feeling, which keeps getting reignited. I have turned eighteen today and somehow I just came back to this song after remembering him again. I wish one day these feelings will just be over.

ty_sophie in term of awards yeah this should have won at least something related to album like album of the year, best female solo album or best ballad album..... however the album did super great on charts and sales in solo category...
