This is wonderful. Green such a difficult subject but your brushes are just like mother nature creating those delicate little things and the flowers almost naturally . Thank you again madam !

Thank you Elizabeth for time lapse painting. It is beautiful white and green bouquet.😊 I am 66 yo self-taught amatour and started painting 14 years ago knowing nothing about painting in oil. I am inspired by your way of painting and two years ago I tried to paint your beautiful "Sunflowers in yellow vase". With some struggle I finished.😅 Last year after another tough lockdown in Melbourne AUS I stopped painting. I felt empty and lost interest. Today when I saw your film I jump and run to prepare new canvas. Thank you for inspiration. I am awake and focused. ❤🌹🌻🪴💐 Greetings from frosty Melbourne.🦘🦘🦘🐨🐨🦜

Beautiful composition! Especially the candle brings a nice touch, with its light and reflection on the flower. Very well observed and indicated in the canvas. I like candle concept as it can be used for symbolism as well, and goes very well in surreal paintings too. I totally understand you wanting to paint whenever you have an available moment, please keep up and paint whenever possible!

@@ElizabethRobbins Elizabeth, I’m really struggling with a composition in my still life. I have 5 red roses in a blue vase and I’m thinking one roses on the table with rose pedals . I puta silhouette on the wall behind it mostly dark, black, dark gray chiaroscuro effect . I’m struggling with my background colors and what goes with what… Should I keep the silhouette in the back of the roses? I don’t see that much in your still life’s. Also, should I maybe add some green and maybe yellow ocher to lighten the background a little bit I’ve done a lot of paintings with black background , it’s dramatic, but trying to get away from that . Your videos have helped me tremendously, but I do struggle with what goes with what . Color combinations…I was thinking of doing some pink roses from Hobby lobby. The fake ones what are your thoughts on fake flowers during winter time? Or is it better to work from photos during this time?

@@allenvoss7977 I don't ever paint from artificial flowers. i set up a lot of setups in the summer when my flowers are blooming and photograph so i have them to paint from in the winter time. As far as backgrounds, I wouldn't do just black. It's too dark and dead. I use Alizarin Crimson, Yellow Ocher and IVory black in various mixes to get different color backgrounds. More Ivory black and Yellow Ochre will make a more greenish background, Alizarin crimson and black will make a more dark violet background, alizarin and yellow ochre will make more of a brown background. I don't do a lot of busy backgrounds. Wanting the focus to be on the flowers
