Only Anneke could be this charming, adorable and funny for screwing up live and then proceed to absolutely crush it and bring the crowd to silence under her amazingly beautiful voice. She is so beautiful, inside and out. I understand why Devin Townsend used her so often in his work.

This lady has a unique voice and she smiles and laughs from her heart and open mind. About 28 years ago with The Gathering to this day. The Netherlands should be proud of her.

Outside the Netherlands they love Anneke because she is unique in voice and personality. It is sadly a sad fact that the Dutch media is paying more attention to musical duds and mediocre singers who cannot produce decent sound without auto tune. But they fit in the narrow box of the Hilversum clique. Musical stars like Floor Jansen have only recently become known to the Dutch public while she is already a superstar in many parts of the world. I can't think of any other country that produces as many top female singers as the Netherlands at the moment, but for some the rating and valuation is very low. That is a fact.

As a Dutchie: Let her be less known here but a superstar elsewhere. The Netherlands are used to export treasurable, exotic goods to the rest of the world. This means she can buy groceries around the corner without much trouble, but be worshipped a few hours away. But those in this country who know her, will love her and let her spread her wings!

You can immediately tell that the crowd was mesmerized when the audience fell silent the moment she sang.

In the early 1980's I saw Miles Davis at Lincoln Center in New York, and he began playing a song that sent a gasp through the audience. It was this song. Miles Davis playing Cyndi Lauper! And it was so beautiful. Hearing this lovely version reminded me of that moment.

Annie is just fantastic!!! Best stage presence, she's adorably beautiful, and she has incredible vocal abilities...hoping to see her perform live some day, but this was really cool to watch and listen to - her connection to the audience is magic 😁

To the 2K who put a thumb down I hope that one day you find enough love in your heart and soul to fully appreciate this song one day.
